Getting there :) hope you don't have to rush too much to get it done by the 20th, never fun whe. Is under pressure! Expecting any rubbing issues on the rear with the spacers?

    **show us Your Engine Bay**

Mine did the same :( on the bonnet prop. Must've been from the movement in the struts at Bedford as thats the only time it's made contact.

    Mintex 1144 for 172 Cup?

Fair point. However, before I boiled the fluid, I noticed after a not very long B road blast that the pads would glaze over rather easily. And the pedal would be rock hard without a lot of 'feel' or slowing down going on. Booking another trackday for Bedford GT in April so may give the pads...

    Mintex 1144 for 172 Cup?

I think I can sum up the 1144's with this: Good road pad, terrible track pad As a road pad, they are pretty spot on. Great from cold. Don't cost the earth and can stand up to the odd B road blast However, I had my first track day a couple of weeks ago at Bedford GT circuit. The pads were...

    PagidRS Blue Pads

Yer have heard the RC6's can leave a fair bit of 'pad' on the bodywork! Looking into the RC5+ pads there seems to be a few horror stories of the pad breaking up so not sure if I want to risk that, although they are a bit cheaper than the DS3000's at the moment They will only be for track use...

    PagidRS Blue Pads

Mintex M1144... Good on the road, but don't hold up at all on track! I had a quick look at the CL's but not gona lie I was very confused by all the RC5/5+/6/6 Endurance range. So gave up quite quickly! Im sure I've read on here something about them falling to bits as well which doesn't sound good?

    Magnecor HT leads, Worth it?

This TBH Can't say for sure if they helped my 182 gain nearly 8bhp at Surrey RR from last year I like to think they help though ;)

What have you done to your car today ???

Replaced my boiled brake fluid with some ATE Super R Blue, much better! And put the fogs and arch liners back in after Bedford last week, not a bad day.

    Sbridgey's budget track/sensible ph2 project thread

Yer dad drove back and nearly shot into the field as we left the track! Got some ATE Super Blue to bleed up with Sunday And yer Jay seemed good for the road (ie good from cold but still lasted on a B road blast) but after the first session in the morning they were smoking whilst sitting in the...

    Sbridgey's budget track/sensible ph2 project thread

Hmmmm might have to look into those... Ran 1144's at the weekend and pedal was to the floor after a handful of laps! Must've boiled the fluid as well, pedal still hasn't come back...

    Gauges

Cheers for the replies guys. Could I use a sandwich plate to run the temp sensor off? I won't have time to sort out a sensor in the sump. Or will it be influenced too much by the temperature of the block?

    Gauges

Thinking of going for one of these... http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p5727/SPA-OIL-PRESSURE-/-OIL-TEMPERATURE-DUAL-GAUGE/product_info.html Does anyone know what sort of oil pressure is normal for a Clio at idle and whilst on the move?

    Bedford GT 16th Feb 2013

Yer I was quite surprised how well they recorded apart from the rattle! Not bad for a borrowed GoPro and my first on track experience :o Wish Id had some battery for my last session at the end of the day, my lines and braking points had improved massively IMO :) Was a brilliant day, hope you...

Bedford Track Day 16th Feb Brilliant day! The Clio ran perfectly, just the brakes let it down. And once I worked out tyre pressures, the handling was 'ok' (need new dampers and springs really) Some pictures from the day: Jon Clio by Jon_KTM, on Flickr Dad Clio by Jon_KTM, on Flickr Dad Clio...
