So do you think if I changed the 5th gear from my old box that may cure it? I'm gona check where my revs are at 70mph as well. As I'm not sure if this new gear has changed anything apart from no cruise! Jon

That sounds like the issue then. He put a longer 5th gear in but failed to mention this might happen. And I can't even feel the difference in ratios anyway. Fail! Cheers Matt@codered

Just put in a JC5 130 box from a 172 to replace my JC5 130 box in the 182. Now cruise control works in all gears except 5th. And don't really understand how/why it's not working in this 1 gear...anyone any ideas? Also, can anyone tell me if 1500rpm in 5th at 30mph sounds about right? Any help...

I run an ITG panel filter. Don't know if Ktec have updated their design but I had one before and it wasnt very well made. Hence why I bought ITG! Very well made IMO

You need to remove the calliper and twist the calliper off the line. Easiest way. And the rubber boot thing is a dust cover, ideally you want it to be intact as it stops dirt and debris attacking the piston and causing it to seize. Jon

Cant believe how tiny the exhaust is for a 1000! Looks good though mate, can't wait to finally do my bike test, so pissed off they changed the rules on it though...

That's shocking. I think even my girlfriend who thought the engine was in the boot could do a better job than that.
