Change in pairs because the wear over time will effect both & It makes sense to do them why you have your tools out. Having a brand new damper on one side compared to an aged one on the other side will effect handling as the damping efficiency will be different.
Same as changing springs.
HAHA, yeah they are awful, I argued the toss with them about my flywheel when I had problems with that, they had the cheek to tell me my pads needed changing (which where changed the month before) !!
Absolute cretins !
It's taken them nearly 8 months to authorise the warranty work on my cup...
They are a bit gutless but they do handle well, I think of them a little like an MX-5. The chassis can take a lot more power, I see a few tuners out there dropping new lumps in them, turbo's etc.
