ive just got my first car which is a mk1 clio 1.2, 8v how do i know if its MPi?

Should have a round, cylinder like air filter at the back of the engine bay in plastic casing. What year was it made in ?? anything after 1996 was an mpi

mine is a 94, would an MPI aftermarket induction kit fit mine ?
