If the Audi is presentable and on the road I might come in that. Because massive boot to sleep in
@andybond tracked his c63 last year. He said it didn't want to do corners so just had a drift day lol
Lol, I forgot about this thread.
FYI, I still think it's a s**t daily lol.
I can't wait to get the Audi sorted and on the road to use as a daily. It's a 17 year old, 2.8, v6 estate which has better mpg and feels and drives nicer than my ten year old clio lol
Go to tweaks, screwfix, Cromwell, jr websters etc. I think they all stock pads. Find something quite firm with close packed foam, should be reet really
This was what I used on the Beamer, that menz polish stays oily forever and doesn't dust like auto finesse/farecla compounds
I'd just wait until the chemical guys stuff come.
Or go to demon tweaks?
I've only just switched to the chemical guys pads and after the correction I got on the m3 with a da I don't think I'll be switching from them any time soon lol
Cheers, I didn't even realise I caught the calendar lol.
@sburrell93 did though haha
Thanks, let me know and I'll come give you a hand. It's not hard, it just took forever lol
Z4s have massive bonnets too don't they?
I'm not familiar with the scholl polishes so can't comment sorry. If it's just deep marks that are there then definitely give essence a go. YouTube it, it's cracking stuff. Apply with a decent microfibre pad and you're laughing.
This had a bit of lacquer overspray from the wing being done, I...
Yeah, although the menz polish finished quite well I wouldn't have wanted to leave it at that.
Carpro essence is a bit of a cheat product, if you've not used it, it's an all in one* that lays a semi permenant base for lsp to bond to.
But you don't work it like a polish, just spread it around...
Just happened across this video which will be very helpful to any budding detailers. This sums up a 'big wash' for me, I do these twice/three times a year minus the polishing to decontaminate and lay protection.
See if you can spot the mistakes
The main mistake is not using tar and fallout...
I'm sure I have one of those at work. American pro, I didn't know it was sealey. It'll be fine for occasional use/carrying track parts around but they're not too well made for constant/heavy use.
I normally book a garage to dump things in and change wheels/fix things, that said I've seen a lot of people do as you did and just leave things there.
Cheers, I did this all via da with a hex logic orange heavy cut pad and menzerna heavy cut compound 400.
I was a bit reluctant to go so balls out from the off but it only seemed to take off 10-15 microns tops so I cracked on.
As always though I worked up to that. Auto finesse #1 and #2...
Cheers. Even with a helping hand it still took us around ten hours just to do the bodywork lol
You don't realise how small clios are. The bonnet on this thing is huge!
Cheers,
I used your citrus pre wash and iron remover too. But I left them out of the write up because I couldn't leave them on long enough to picture in the sun and you couldn't see any bleeding. I'll do a proper review when I do the clio :D
Thanks! :D
Yeah I was only using it as a...
Cheers! I've seen a lot of people wet sand them to remove it but that's a bit too big of a job lol
If you can, get one. It's mega. It's got the box chop too so sounds incredible
It's Jerez black. Removing the haze seems to have really brought out the blue
Yeah I did realise that after we put...
