Essence filled in the deeper scratches somewhat too
Dat gloss
After I finished, we gave the car a couple of coats of gyeon cure *not carpro reload, my bad
Bonus paint thickness shot
Then rolled out for some overcast afters
I moved down to a polishing pad and polishing polish to polish the resprayed wing. polish.
The boot was pretty heavily scratched and marred
The lighter marring and scratches were removed
But a couple of the deeper ones stuck around
After the polishing was done I moved onto carpro...
I struggled to catch the scratches outside
But inside the unit they showed up quite well.
I messed around with a few combinations; auto finesse cutting pads and polish didn't really cut enough or finish nice enough
I moved to hex logic blue cutting pads with various polishes before...
I was asked by a friend to give his M3 a going over to try and remove some swirls and scratches from the bodywork. The previous owner looks to have been quite aggressive with the cleaning.
It's generally well maintained, regularly washed and usually sat in the garage, so it looks OK from afar...
I wonder how many non car people see that picture and think your front bumper has been graffitti'd
It looks brilliant though! I bet you're over the moon
Yeah, it was really quiet too! I wish I had my own car on track that day.
If you can I'd definitely recommend coming. It's a brilliant weekend. There's a few people from this area going as well so you could convoy up. Blyton is a decent little track as well :D
I did an e92 m3 over the past couple of days. The previous owner seemed a bit harsh with washing it so it was full of deep scratches and the paint was quite dull
I got most of the surface scratches out but couldn't do much with the really deep ones in a day.
Hex logic cutting pads with...
Hi!
Glad to see you on here, it looked very well at anglesey. Me and Martin were the ones talking to you about the vibration on the Megane and borrowed your jack.
Will you be bringing it to cliosport festival at Blyton Park? www.cliosportfestival.net
If you get a self tapper with a torx head, I don't think it matters the head size. I think it is just self tappers holding them on isn't it?
Would these do?

Very close to the mrs' birthday so I'm a maybe.
If I come I'll sort out a more local meeting point for the chester lot before heading to Bala
Why are you meeting at Bala first rather than the ponderosa before heading further into wales to the triangle/Bala then betws-y-coed?
Got some pictures in the sun. What a pita it is to picture the test panel at the same angle as the car!
But yeah, one coat of pearl is the best match (one coat is the lightest one)
One coat at the top, against the bottom of the window
Four coats at the top, against the bottom of the window.
Lol! It's not actually proper liquid yellow as I sprayed the pearl coat over what looks like a focus st orange base.
It does look cool though
I got the paint from a supplier near my work. Buckley coatings
Anywho, the colour match looks good. It looks better in the sun, I'll try and catch...
First name down for a group buy lol?
The worst part about painting is leaving it to cure. I want to fiddle with it and check the match but I'm trying to be patient haha.
What's the deal with these? Seem too good to be true for the price. All singing all dancing DVD, Bluetooth, apps blah blah for less than £200
The button colours can be changed to suit the car lights too.
Pay £170 and receive a cardboard cut out with wires taped to the back?
