Ebay is your best bet mate, usally go for the £30 mark, although you will have the new milage of the dials which can cuase probs on the mot if the new dials are alot lower milage
Never knew these things were that quick :S , 5.7 secs from a 1.6, renault get your f**king arse in gear, we should have atleast 210bhp stock if honda had any thing to do with it lol.. although i do get 43-45mpg on the motorway at 70mph & usable lower bottom end power.. although its not great in...
Glad we got it all sorted, the state of that shock was unreal, axle stands were sweet as, we also had the standard reno jacks in place too just in case ivan's ph1 wanted to crush me ;)
That kit car was ace, just over 500kg  power to weight ratio
Basically been like this since brand new, think it may be just a case of a dry cable, any one had this? its making me look like a right t**t in traffic, seems to right on the bighting point that its happening :dapprove: , is there any way of re-lubeing the cable or just of to reno for a new one...
phew.. was gonna say, your nice smoothed bumper wouldnt stay pretty for long, also on that last cruise did you see the amount of horse shite on the road, imagine hitting a lump of that & trying to clean it out of the splitter :dead:
best tip, wait till the end of the year mate, with fuel on the up & house prices dropping along with gas & elec bills go up any form of fuel drinker will loose money, take the 182 trophy, i remeber seeing them go for 11+k last year now you could pick up a mint one for nearer 7k
I would only do it on a black car, from a distance looks fairly normal then come close up a there you have it right in your face  mmmmmm carbon fibre :approve:
Cant for the life of me who told me about why you shouldnt use those extracter things, if they were that good then all the garages would be using it if £30 saves you say 30 minutes labour, per car!
Agrh right, may keep the 172 one then, do love the rev happy motor along with my group n rev limiter removed , although with fuel prices beeing silly now it may be worth getting a 182 manifold to get more out of the lower rpm
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1361&pic=2 they look ace too
I would say my 172 felt more responsive with the pannel filter & revved out a touch easyer.. but could all be in my mind like most things lol
ITG Maxogen is supposed to be the best induction sytem but with a £350 price tag & really only offering 3-5 hp it is a touch pricey, i would love one but cant justifiy a new one, would be tempted for a second hand one though :approve:
Have heard the viper kits are worse than the standard airbox with just a pannel filter so may be worth just doing the pannel filter & saving £100, haven't tried a k-tec map but rstunners group n for half the cost gave me good results
Along with other planned mods i have consider changing the 172 mani for the 182 version, are there good gains to be had from this? what does the car earn other than the claimed 10hp, better torque, longer power curve? are the bennefits of keeping the 172 over the 182 mani?
James
If its rounded off heating up is not gonna just make it loose, yes it will help but it sounds more like your using the wrong tools for the job, have been there done that when i was younger.. think we all have lol, halfords sell a full drain plug / sump keys for under a £10 there made by LAZER...
Cheers ivan, may take you up on that if i cant get them at the end of the week, will try & get down there saturday after work, got family bday saturday though so have been told i gotta finish work & get back asap :dapprove:, hopefully gsf have quick customer service lol
Assuming its the square key which my old 1.2 & 172 used you really shouldnt be rounding that off unless you are using the wrong size or trying to do it at an angle, i had fun getting the one off my 1.2, ended up using the 18v makita impact :approve: , though you should never use impacts etc to...
I work on a building site, things tend to go walkie when there delivered, especially if there is some thing pretty printed on the box, i find most people dont cover the box up :dapprove:, thanks for the input guys, guess i will have to bite the bullet & get down to GSF, how have you guys found...
Not sure, gotta wait till i get payed really, although the discs a fooked :(.. may see if i can start work around 6 one morning this week & shoot off early, see if the gf wants to lend me a few ££ :) , are you going there to get your shocks mate or renault?
Found NO diffrence running my old 1.2 on optimax at all! other than the cost lol, tried it on the 172.. noticed a diffrence.. then got it re-mapped - group n, just had to put normal in that = ruff :dapprove: .. shell optimax is sold out every in all 3 garages i pass on the way to work :( , i...
Basically its time for new front discs when i get payed, so i'm planning to get the brembo max grooved ones, i've found them on the net for £90 delivered but as i'm working every day i wont be into sign for them :dapprove: .. so think i will have to go some where like GSF, just wondered if any...
