Very nice  , can never under stand why reno never colour coded the bump strips as standard :S... & if you want that yellow removed from your side lights drop me a pm
You know 95% of the time you will never use it, i avoided it unless its a must.. but would never remove it because you know the'll be just one time during the year that you'll wish you had aircon, take my instance, all dressed up ready to go out one summer evening ( if thats what you call it in...
Wish mine had done that rich... had to take the lining out, hate pulling those plastic clips, just waiting for the pop.. or in some cases crack :dapprove:
Thanks guys, nothing better than a little diy ;) , 172 prgress thread will be on the way soon, didn't look so pretty when i bought it but like this one, I saw hope!! lol
Do really like your motor cozens.... could have taken mine to the next level... but the 172's are just too much fun :approve:, dont fancy the 2l conversion then couzens?
Other way round mate, clio is held by pins, mine was tight as fook, the renault when is held on by addhessive although have heard its pins on the PH1's, not 100% sure on that though, best way to remove that is heat it up with a hair dryer & get some floss to run behind it then remove the residue...
I found removing the clio one a right b*****d, tight as... was waiting for it to fall into 2 bits & that was doing it from inside the boot lid which means you need to take all the lining out
Why not just drop the cold air feed off?? will give you a nice roar & in the event of a right off you can cliam it must have popped of during the smash etc... only down side will be aloooot of heat soak from the engine bay
30mpg out of a 1.4    , my 172 does 43+mpg on the motor & 36mpg round town with the "odd" blat :o , worst i ever got it down too was 34mpg, it was a hardcore A road run of over 7miles  summit aint right there, hows the air filter? might be worth checking compression?? also...
Sounds like oil mate, if your handy with a spanner you could do a full service for under £50.... £32 for halfords fully synthetic 5w40 oil, £6 for renault original filter, £2 for sump washer.... will take around 30-60 minutes depending on how much fun you have removing the old filter, raising...
Fair enough mate, but for me a job that takes under an hour i'm not really fussed as it only gets done twice a year, think i can spare less than 2 hours a year lol
Very good bit of kit, couldnt be happy with mine & i4detailing, used matt a few times, top service ;) , made an order yesterday afternoon so will hopefully be with me tomorrow to finish the long awated cup spoiler!
Heard bad things about those mate, as they dont let you get to the bottom of the sump you will end up leaving a fair bit of oil in there.. haven't tried myself though so cant comment on a in the flesh knowlege
If it works with the 1.2's mate i'll bring it down & show you fast & furious style, did look pretty cool when me & my brother went for a little cruise the evening we installed the group n map with the laptop on his lap lol
Not for remaping, cant see any gains for a standard 1.2 lol, only reason i ask is i have sold my old 1.2 to my brother & just wondered if i could plug & play with fault codes thats all
Its usally good practice to change oil & filter once a year mate, sounds like the engines not getting good lubrication untill the engine heats up & allows the oil to thin out & flow through the motor properly
