No, we have not found the washers to be necessary as the areas in which they are in contact with the head as so small they would make no difference what so ever.
David.
We hope to be doing a fair but if dyno testing on all these mods next month and in the meantime if anyone wants the remap and matched inlets supplying and fitting we will do free before and after power runs.
KC 182, yes the PTFE gaskets are worth doing and you can see further details here...
There were many failures a couple of years ago (not been on that site at all recently) due to diesel spec turbos being used. In fact the guy who started selling them (Mike someone?) got a bit of a bashing on there. He also sent one of his turbos to one of our local turbo companies and they...
99% of VNT turbos available are for diesel applications only. You are right that some are used on the GT2 and 997 TT models (not the RS models as they are NA) and a VNT turbo was also used on the old Peugeot T16.
A VNT diesel turbo used on a petrol engine will not last long as they are...
weak spark, would mean poor burn in that cyl, meaning HC's
you need to check the leads and change the coilpack after that
also check all fuel inj are correctly opperating
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
Ben, the boost itself is a little high.... however I believe with the peak fueling (10.5?) you have, there is plenty fuel there. however I cant comment on the ign timing, so probably worth checking with Paul
Its not an S2000 inlet, it has been designed as a bespoke inlet system for a clio,
it doesnt have throttle bodies, just similar style runners
this may happen.
Andy
If its that easy then go for it and I will give you your first large order. Oh, and does your £200 retail include the custom ecu remap and has it been developed after many hours testing on a dyno/test car ?
David.
I think you are completely overestimating how many people would buy something like this. Not many people will spend the £1500 or so on their engine in one hit, and although there are some on here who will say they would buy it just look at how many group buys don't happen when it comes to "pay...
As you are going to be ising the car on the track I would take this chance to upgrade the parts.
We have several brake and suspension options available which can be seen on our website and depending on which country you are in we have fast and well prices shipping available.
David...
life we would very dull if we all followed suit all the time, no matter how much people think their view is right. This is not right or wrong is highly subjective.
Andy
thats normal for the top mounts to knock.
you can space replace the mount with solid ones, or put some washers in to space it out a little or grind the metal from the turret (renault type fix) to get rid of that
Andy
if the errors come back then I would suspect a sensor fault.
you can check the sensor with a voltmeter when the engine is running. essentially you should see 0.1-0.9 volts fluctuating up and down (when the engine is upto temp and idling) on the grey or black wire (cant remember on a sunday)...
Top mounts look totally normal
Clip the pipe back in, they can and do pop out sometimes, its only a little plastic clip
the top hose you show is the breather hose, goes to the back of the head just under the inlet manifold, pipe sticks out horizontal directed towards the header tank
if you...
the myth is you need alot of fuel (unless your exhaust is UBER hot) as fuel cools the exhaust down and stops the flames.
With the ignition retarded the flame is fired much later on in the cycle and with it not being used for power you will get pops. However too much r****d doesnt work either...
I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the prices or the KTR Kit. It is due for release at Autosport this year.
The AC version is the pictures was never run, although technically it was possible but production costs would have made it quite expensive to sell.
