Nothing wrong with the stock ecu if it's mapped right. Our car was making +-300hp and drove perfect, all on the stock ECU. Also the new engine will be mapped on the stock ECU.
Stock ECU is the BEST option where possible.
A plugin box will NEVER give better results than a map. A plugin box bends the signal going to the ecu basically. A remap will customise the software the car is running on and done correctly will make a massive difference.
Superchips 1x2 map = highlight, % and press enter on the advance maps! (vvt on and off same %)
My 172 had one on and i found it rather amusing, and no it's not a one off, i have mapped several superchipped cars.
I'll get some graphs up soon but because i changed dyno's i can't overlay the previous graph from the stock inlet, i am sure Ronee has one she can scan though.
Previous was 198hp and with the new bodies from AT it does 230.
Fantastic gain IMO.
Good choice mate. We'll be doing some back to back tests shortly but form what we have tested so far on an F7R they are fantastic. Plus the build quality is fantastic.
If it's just to tidy it up and get the fueling right i expect only a couple of hours. If it drives ok as is then £200+ VAT (2 hours mapping on the dyno)

Or likewise is it really worth bodging a wiring loom to fit a cheap ECU that has nowhere near as much control and functions as the stock unit.
If you can use stock then it's always better :)
tap all 4 bodies and into a chamber would be one way but there will be others. Alpha-N should be possible. Good start that they run and drive perfect with no map sensor connected!
Hold that thought for a while. We are still looking at this and as soon as our 182 is running then we are fitting bodies and WILL get it running on the stock unit some how!
