The above post was copied and pasted from a non Renault forum hence the bit about melting dash tops.....not trying to teach anyone how to suck eggs here (y)
Slight incoming interior change!
Managed to source a dash top and the A pillar covers from a Ph1 V6.
These, once I collect them will be going in to be flocked in a Dark Grey colour to match the steering wheel. Wise move really as Renault dash tops have a habit of the surface covering on them...
Only slightly off subject....
After packing it all in 2.5 yrs ago, have done a couple of bits...
2yrs ago back in London for a week with an Arab Sheikha and said never again.
2yrs ago worked on the womens CWC and said never again.

All done and what a difference!
He took the car out for about 15 mins and on return he thought the steering wasn't reacting quickly enough and felt the alignment was out.
The rebound settings on the rear were 2 clicks out from one side to the other. He recommended a full alignment and then...
The guy who looks after all the cosmetic stuff on the car has a mate who builds and races VW Golfs professionally.....more importantly, he knows how to set a cars suspension up!

The KW V3s have both compression and rebound adjustment. I know how compression...
I know exactly what you mean bud....wondered if I'd need a red nose and big shoes to go with the wheels.
The way I see it is try it, if it works great, if it doesn't then change the colour...fortunately they just seem to add to the madness and finish it off :)
Well, that's 3 weeks work done....1 hour was all it took to make me remember why I gave it all up.
Now back to car stuff!
Wheels being collected Monday and being taken up to York for painting. All being well the works on the car will be done over next weekend.
Agreed on the price....the ones I have on currently were done by them and the finish is flawless.
Re the yellow being strong, no point in going in half arsed (y)
Well trying to find a place to paint mag alloy wheels isn't as easy as it might sound!
Ended up with a place in Yorkshire who specialises in them, Ian Jemison Engineering. Not a bad price either, strip the wheels, crack test, powder coat all for £60 + VAT a wheel.
These aren't my wheels but...
@R3k1355
The idea of a full clear cover has been abandoned as I won't be able to sort a neat finish to the plastic covers on the rear quarter panels.
If it wasn't neatly finished it would annoy the hell out of me.
@cat171
Yes, although if there's road salt down in the Winter the car doesn't come out anyhow.
Managed to find myself another set of Cromodoras and the plan is to put Michelin Cup2 tyres on them if my Ph2 wheels sell. If they don't I'll get the new wheels done in a different colour and swap...
Fascinating day today down at the Renault F1 tech centre.
Not too sure how many pics will turn up as it was howling down so can't see many coming from the cars outside!
2005 championship winning car in reception area alongside one of last years cars....24 people crawling over 2 cars isn't...
Another maybe mad idea....
Never been a fan of the crappy looking light grey plastic engine covers, thought about flocking but decided against it. Bought a clear cover for the inspection hatch bit from Mr Mossy but initially only used it for an event or similar.....couldn't get used to the...
Currently my car has the small perspex engine cover, toying with the idea of removing the complete covers....both outer and inner.
I'd plan to get a complete perspex rear cover made, maybe a perspex bulkhead if needed. I think it may suit the way the car now looks.
Has anyone a picture of a...
Went to a meet at Donington Park yesterday morning, great turn out and good weather.
Couple of pics surfaced on faceache, courtesy of BTFphotography.....still find it surprising how much attention these cars generate.
Age isn't really relevant..well. that's what I keep telling women.
Enjoy your car.
65 here and drive about in a V6 that's had one or two small detail changes ?
