I cracked on with filling the wheels today with chemical metal. They're not looking too bad so far. They'll be getting a final keying tomorrow followed by a coat of primer (which will probably show up sooooo many defects) and then a coat of satin black.

I used halfords Velcro coins on my old car, they held up fine. I'll use them on this one too when I get around to fitting clean plates

A guy I used to work with used to get sets (I'm sure it was front and rear) for £14. I'll ask where from and if they do custom sizes if people want?

Bit of an odd one. I've been falling out with the cs3s fitted to the 197 recently. It started on a spirited country drive last year when the rear got a bit squiggly on perfectly dry roads. Normally it's always properly planted with cs3s all round. Then at oulton I could not get traction...

195 is 2.6" too wide for a 5" wheel iirc 195 is the tyre thickness/width in mm, right?
