In this thread: Mk2 owners convincing themselves the Mk2 is the best. Mk3 owners deffending their purchases. Oh Cliosport, you so crazy!
7 members have sold/selling their 200s, THE WORLD IS ENDING.
Are you sure thats a 172 underneath as it doesnt have the 172 headlights, it has some basic "Grande" etc spec'd ones. Unless its been repaired on the cheap after a front end smash of course?
Welcome. Id recommend posting something in the relevant regional section:

Sounds like a very good idea, just a shame im 2hrs 30mins away :)
Im a cup owner but i spec'd Aircon for a reduced required discount
Dont regret it what so ever when stuck in stationary traffic on days like these!
That was exactly my thoughts! I actually looked at it and thought "to be honest compared with half of the complete toss we see, at least this has had money spent on it" lol. Could be worse, could be a more door for starters! :rasp:
I replied to your topic on the "other" forum lol. I imagine you would need a new steering column stalk with the appropriate switch for Front foglights for starters. The wiring in place, is it just 1 plug or does it stretch accross both sides with a plug for each foglight? If not then you need...
Well just remember that the 172 cup has poverty spec cloth seats so you need to weight up if you think its worth all the hassle going from cloth seats to... cloth seats. Personally id hold out for some Ph2 172 / 182 half leather seats to make the upgrade feel worth it.
I know this is only 1...
+1. Is that some kind of.... blue dragon!? seat cover :dead:
No seat covers ever suit! Just keep your eyes on Ebay for a pair of 172/182 Sport seats (around £90) and get some leather action going on!
Dont loose sleep over it mate, people do stupid things when the red haze appears which i imagine is the case here. In his mind he was perfectly justified to take the law into his own hands. Just a bully really.
Where in his description above does it make it perfectly reasonable exactly? All i read is:
"nothing in the left to me for 7 or 8 car lengths, big gap infront and behind"
Which to me translates as:
"i was crusing in the middle lane in my own world"
+99 on this! RIGHT HERE! I f**king hate middle lane hoggers!
If your not overtaking anything in the lane to your left then move the hell over.
Yes he over reacted by slamming on his brakes but im sick of having to undertake on a daily basis as much as the Van driver clearly is!
Id love one as my next car! The problem is it would have to be a post 2006 model with the revised interior, xenons, 300HP (instead of 287) etc and these seem to be holding their value well :(
Awesome post, thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
I would love to do a similar trip but dont fancy doing it alone, and with none of my friends being "car people" i doubt they would see the appeal of 2800 miles :p
Likewise mate. Ive looked into it but all the ferrys sail from daaaaaarn saaaarf so would idealy need a hotel stop over to break up the 800'ish mile round trip. Not cheap!
Id get it booked into a garage. In terms of local specialists there isnt really much in the Derby area, our nearest specialists are BTMPerformance in Birmingham or Birchdown in Cheshire if you fancy a trip. I know Prima are based in Notts but no idea if they do normal garage work as opposed to...
Yeah that sounds the best way, sourcing a 172 bumper (dont bother with Albert Looms scrappy).
To be honest i had the Ktec exhaust cut into my 172's bumper and i actually liked the way it looked compared with stealth but then it wasnt a ridiculously loud system, i paid the extra to get an...
Thats more like it. Yeah i dont have a great Pedobear sticker slapped on the back like yours does so i can see why you would say its easy to miss. Glorious morning weather!
Seriously? If you have your car on finance it would be stupid not to.
For example:
£16k car on finance over 2yrs. 2nd year into your deal its written off and the insurance company says "Your 1 year old car is now worth 12k" but your finance agreement still has £14k left on it. No GAP? Enjoy...
Hmm weather depending im attending a BBQ on the Saturday that WILL be messy. So im a possible for this, i could do with having a run out in the 200 to be honest rather than its dull Derby>Nottingham>Derby routine currently :)

Hero. Thanks for proving the fact that sensible MPG is possible from the 200. My problem is during the daily commute its all too tempting when frustrated with someone going overly slowly, or hogging a lane etc to just give it the beans. As such my average is around 28mpg :)
Nice on Riddzz. Have you picked it up?
Welcome to the Crawley Down owners club. Richard1 is taking us all out on his yacht to celebrate his CS sales :rasp:
You are probably refering to the induction noise, it sounds like a sucking noise as you described when you allow the car to coast without the accelerator pressed right?
Its created by the butterfly valve to the side of your battery to my knowledge.
Nice work indeed. Shame it will last all of 2 days or whenever it decides to attempt to rain next. Still, nice and shiney to look at on my driveway lol.
