The Lamda sensor is how the ECU knows what fuel/air ratio its running by determining if its rich or leen. If your friend doesnt think that will effect performance hes special. In regards to timing being out thats probably true if its had its belts changed in the service history at a local...
Dual-Optics are the upgraded headlights fitted to that shape of Clio. They look like:

And theres a guide to fitting them:

FINALLY A GOOD ADVERT!
Im sick to death with all this stereotypical "Va Va Voom" arty farty adverts. Finally a Renault advert that celebrates the cars for their performance and reviews. Also that Mazda advert thats being shown at the moment is spot on for building brand awareness.
What was the point in showing those couple of cars drifting in context to the rest of the posers cars parked outside? Or is that what they are aspiring to? Dont get that. Trying to be "cool" by being associated perhaps?
Either way, is this what happens when "Hipsters" grow up and migrate onto...
A pair of cable-ties also works nicely which was my bodge fix. Buy a new middle hanger (needs to be new, and not your current sagging one), surround it with the 2 cable-ties to prevent it getting stretched to buggery. Job done :)
Cant say im as enraged as the rest of the people on here by it.
Its your car and your free to do what you like within reason, that said its not my cup of tea but i can understand your thinking as they are easy and cheap to experiment with :)
+1. I can understand if you live in US/AUS with amazing long flat roads but here in the UK with speedbumps and potholes that will buckle your wheel whats the point?
Couldnt agree more. After reading through the 13 page or whatever topic on clio197.net regarding this "mod" i decided against it for this reason. Sure it adds alittle extra rasp but ive heard bad things about the side effect it creates, a nasty flatspot at 2500~3000rpm. This was dismissed in the...
I dont know which steering wheel your edition has but i have this fitted to my Cup's steering wheel and it doesnt quite sit flush as it did on my 197 wheel. I think thats due to the slight differences between the 200 steering wheel and the Cups steering wheel (different materials, different...
Mines around 26~27 mpg per tank from my 35min commute. Thats mainly dual carriageway and stop-start queuing through Nottingham (f**k you 3 lines to 1 lane past Wollaton Park)
Wow thats deffinately seen better days! Your brave taking on a project of this scale.
Are those custom sprays on the sides or decals, what are they of i cant make it out in the pics?
Aaah this old topic again! My 200's just reached over 6 months now and deffinately feel i made the right choice in terms of the amount of car for such a small monthly figure
I went to Lookers to see what the current deals are like now for the sake of it, gob smacked to say the least...
Re: F*CK SAKE! Help!!!!
Oh that sucks mate. This is what i was refering to with my earlier comment, when you compare your first post and now this you can understand why alot of us were saying you had gotten off lightly. Its a shame that isnt the case anymore :(
Re: F*CK SAKE! Help!!!!
Angry!? Id be happy!
The fact some prick has decided to target your car with vandalism they could have chosen a whole list of FAAAAR worse and more expensive things to put right. Be happy you got off lightly :)
Yeah in Dave's deffence they were OEM colour.
I didnt realise it was you until we had literally passed due to the traffic. God damn Ashbourne sucks balls for how bad its fail one way system is :/
Spotted today around 2:30pm on the A52 from Ashbourne towards Derby.
This particular 182 stood out because it was rolling with xenons in the middle of day......
O hai Dave88
(Me and my mate were on our way to Dovedale Valley out the back of Ashbourne) :rasp:
Thanks for the comments guys.
The rear plate will be done, the reason i didnt bother ordering one from Fancyplate is that i dont really think the rear will benefit from the slightly smaller style like the front does due to the difference in the bumper recesses. So i think i will just opt for a...
Re: My Clio was a bargain price and now I think it hates me for making it feel cheap!
If your car was a bargain then keep your eye out for another bargin for your missus too. That way you have a backup and donar car should the worst happen ;)
I havent really taken any pictures of my Clio since the initial detail done by a fellow CS.net member (JP). So i figured i would take some phone pics (sorry) following some updates ive made to the 200.
First the big update for me, is the projector headlights that Fred@BTM fitted and...
