The lense sits in a housing unit which tilts via the motor. The adjustment motor will move the entire unit not one particular bulb so thats unrelated (they adjust everytime the car starts fyi based on road level of the rear beam).
You could always try swapping the bulbs over between headlights...
You cant fix them. New they cost about £200 as well so id start searching ebay instead or contact the Clio breakers on this websites trader section to see if they have any.
So these will be replacing your standard 172 suspension or are you running anything at the moment like Sportlines?
Im very interested to see how these perform after fitting :)
Have you received them yet or still awaiting delivery? Could you post some pics when you get them as the ones on the Ebay advert arent exactly amazing.
I look forward to seeing these fitted. What are you currently running at the moment for comparison. Standard setup?
Hmm but surely HIDs in the standard CUP headlight units will be horribly scattered without the projector lens to focus the light. Dont you get flashed alot by oncoming vehicles?
I hate seeing blue HIDs on cars that cant focus the beam. Even saw them fitted to a standard yellow cab
^ Just take that whole pipe off, thats what ive done when mine broke. It points away from the engine on the side anyway so very little heat soak and you will get a nice noise. Any benefit of that pipe is removed when it goes through the acustic valve below the headlight so you dont loose anything.
If i was to get a 200 this is the exact spec and colour i would have gone for. My only alteration would be to add the cup suspension pack as well.
How much did it set you back if you dont mind me asking. Around 18k?
I live in Derby and ive paid to have my Clio detailed by a fellow Derby member on here, Pepsi.
It will probably only be a once or twice yearly thing tho :)
You drove off so it will be difficult. You would have needed to have noticed this and refused to accept the car before hopping in and taking it home.
They will just say you must have done this :(
Just normal 172 alloys with 195/45/16 as standard. Im guessing by switching to 15s your now running 195/50/15? Hmm never really thought about increasing the tyre depth to improve with the bumps but that makes sense really.
.... Oh you! :o
Are you also running SportLines?
I was contemplating replacing shocks but for £60+ a corner you are getting into Coilover money which is why i didnt just go straight out and try that.
Exactly the same with me. Nothing changed other than getting another year of NCB and yet at renewal time they wanted twice the money of the other cheapest (Greenlight).
When i told them this they essentially called me a liar and that to match the quote they would know step by step screenshots...
No havent tracked it yet. Just the odd trip to down south, mainly town driving and commuting. Cars a 51 plate and been on Eibachs for the past 6 months or so.
Hi all,
I was discussing this yesturday with Fred from BTM and would like some opinions on options for my car.
My flamer currently sits on Eibach Sportlines which is exactly the stance im looking for and i dont want it any lower. But im noticing more and more my ride quality is suffering...
What? It was his idea to take it to a garage (Renault) tomorrow i was merely saying dont blindly take your car to Renault as they will charge you an arm and a leg just finding the issue let alone fixing it, he would be better going to a reliable indipendant garage or specialist if thats the...
DO NOT take it to Renault. Seriously.
Are you honestly telling me you havent found a reliable garage in your area during the time of owning your 172? If not id trailer it to one of the specialists on here!
Can you not just install OSX on your current laptop?
Bare in mind a nice new shiney laptop will always run better than your current 2yr+ old cluttered laptop regardless! :)
