Yeah sounds the best bet. 1 person outside with a hose the other inside watching for the water to trickle in. Its got to be a seal on either the door or window of the passenger side surely.
Darren if you have been following this thread from the begining like myself you will know they are still available you just have to purchase direct rather than Ebay. It doesnt make any difference as you still pay through paypal so have the same level of protection.
A52 heading out of Derby perhaps? its currently all kinds of s**t. Daily i have to play "dodge the fail" and weave around the many holes.
Try claiming but in order to do that you need to revisit said pothole and take pictures with a ruler measuring the depth, width etc
You might as well hope they write it off so you can purchase a small petrol or diesel run around. Even if its repaired you will be screwed when it comes to renewal time next year :(
Yes. Because the smaller engine only revs to what, 5k? 4k out of 5k rev band is working alot harder than a 182 at 3.5k revs out of 7.5k.
[edit] Ok maybe the smaller engine doesnt use more fuel than the 182 but i think the MPG gains of the smaller engine wont be as great as normal.
They only said they could offer them on their website. IE you can place the order. They didnt mention they had them in stock either :)
Unless they mean someone has filed a dispute with their Ebay account and its been frozen from listing new items? Not sure on the ins and outs of Ebay.
That does sound odd. Thats almost like saying if you use a comparison website you then wouldnt be able to purchase insurance having just recieved 50 quotes at once? lol
I dont think anything wierd is happening he probably just ran out of stock. Ebay listings normally make you state a quantity of items you have for sale and its ran out no doubt. He will probably relist on Ebay once he gets more stock as when you sell on Ebay people cry if you tell them "sorry...
Could be broken, my passenger side xenon turned out to be broken.
If you remove the rubber cap off the back and push the inside housing does it "swing" freely with ease or slide back and forward?
- If it swings then its working and the adjustor might have come popped off the housing (the...
Thats the problem though Dunn. I think the problem people experience with xenons is due to the majority of people "buying a 2nd hand ballast off ebay". I imagine most of the ballasts that are floating around on ebay are easily 2 or 3 yrs old and they dont exactly seem the most resilient of...
I believe its reasons like this why people are now spec'ing the recaros in the 200 with the leather trim as its harder wearing than the normal cloth trim.
I think you mean this:

Or you can go to the RenaultSport website and pay £40 for the official item thats listed in the Clio Accessories section :)
The standard bulbs are 4300k. One of these: http://www.xenonsupplies.com/product_view.php?product_id=1
Oh and shameful bump of my own for sale thread:
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=478759
They both use the same adjuster motors the only difference is the Cups are driven by a switch on the dash (if im not mistaken?) where as the Xenon units are leveled automatically by the rear axles position.
Bulbs can be picked up fairly cheap on Ebay if your stuck, the only expensive bit is...
^ Nope. If the housing is sitting low then its broken. The housing should never drop it should only swing back and forward pushed by the adjustor.
If the housing has dropped inside the headlight then its new headlight time im affriad. This is the exact problem i had :(
Urgh i have to remove the wipers? Hmm i guess this isnt an easy job afterall i was just hoping to unclip the scuttle panel and unscrew the washer bottle job done. The mold can live alittle longer :)
Oh well my fault for expecting anything on the Clio to be straight forward i guess!
Ive had to top mine up twice since owning. Ive noticed it seems to tie in with long journeys (2hr+) that the next day it may be showing as needing a top up on the dash display.
Doesnt bother me though as its not an alarming rate its just one of those things.
Just a quick question that ive searched for without any luck.
How do i access the screen wash bottle in order to remove it for cleaning? (Ph2 172) Mine appears to have some sort of mold growing on the inside of it and im concerned about it clogging the pump.
How do i remove the plastic tray...
