Saw a cup'd silver 182 in Fleet today.
The girl who lives opposite has a b/f who drives a black 172 with a private plate.
Also saw a red 197 in Frimley today.!
Anyones?
Arctic 182 Cup Kay..? I doubt it.. lol. Theres loads of RS's around here. Good spots though.. Unusual to see so many in 20 mins!! Saw a Trophy last week on the M3 between Fleet and Lightwater, late morning i think it was. Couldnt see the driver, was it you?
Looking great Duncan!!!
Never mind the spacers etc etc.. if i had a mk1 and felt the need to change something, i think i'd be looking into mk2 wheels. Very very discrete.. But then it wouldn't be standard.. so i'd prob. leave it.. lol
Need to give mine a polish if i can, before the years...
If its with a dealer, ask to see the V5. Make discreat note of the last owners name and address.. and then use directory enquiries. Done it before myself, called the last owner, and saved myself a shed load of trouble from buying a car that had been SERIOUSLY clocked..!
Speaking personally ofcourse.. If I were you, i'd be looking at buying as new as possible, but not at all costs. I've had both ph1 172 and 182ff. Both had a problem very early on but were very quickly fixed by the dealer and no problems there after.
If I was looking to buy one now, i'd...
LOL.. Small world! One of his sons works for me. Top guy!! Extremely knowledgeable too!!! He's been involved with Renaults for about 30 years or so. Helped me out on many occassions.
Hey Darren, YES, it does effect Vee's too. I had mine replaced a few weeks ago while it was in having those wheel bolts etc replaced lol.
Get Jain to get a nice new one fitted, its a slightly modified version I believe.
Lmao.. dodgey looks..? Puzzled maybe.. but not dodgey! Hell, I even waved back! lol
Must admit though, I thought it was a red Magane too.. lol You were going UP the hill right..?
Shaun
No prob.. Just noticed all Debs pics on here too..
Its naturally going to be quieter on V6clio though isnt it. Bit like if there was to be club '172BlueCup.net' or '172ph1.net' lol Thats why alot of us still come on here. Shame you couldn't make it earlier today bud.
I also mentioned it several weeks ago on a thread in here Mr cat LOL
Great pics Deb, thanks for putting them up!.. Good to meet you properly at last. Great meet! Had people travel from as far as Somerset and Norwich!
That sounds very much like Milky, Maximan, and myself on our way to Beachyhead this morning!!
Must've been us, not sure about the colours though..???
Silver.? yep... Liquid Yellow, not Acid, and urm.. the biggest head scratcher..,
Black/Gold not Illiad Blue lol.
Thats gotta be the same knda set up as the Megane cup race car. Just a tubular type chassis and cage with a shell over it that looks like a production car.
First time i've seen or heard of them doing a Clio version! Doesnt look quite as good, or have the same curb appeal as the last V6 though...
I think they are.. lol
Like Laura sugested, or even better.. a large rubber mallet from behind, aimed at the rim and moveing the wheel around.
Done with no damage. Unless you miss! Easy does it though, dont want to knock your tracking out!
Great little cars! I think silver was the fastest colour though. lol
Just a shame they were only 4 speed. Intrior looks the same as mine, except for the dials. Still got a piston from it about somewhere, with a hole melted through it. lol
