The pro version is £105 iirc on CyC with the Cs discount.
No brainier imo.
It's what I use and I can't fault it.
...the on/off switch could be situated better but that's just nit picking.
Cheers :) it was a really rewarding car.
That's what I was telling you about the ph neutral stuff and the citrus power, as long as it's wax safe, you'll be fine.
And the less contact you have with the car, the better, so don't wax or polish when not necessary :)
Damn satnav indeed lol!
Thanks :D and yup, it does scrub up well. It was really satisfying to do.
A quick weekly/bi weekly snow foam and rinse should be enough to keep on top of it for a while if you're pushed for time.
Cheers :) You may as well throw the clio in for good measure lol.
The glass was done with auto finesse vision.
I'm not normally one for glass polished but I found this easy to use, didn't require much working and it buffed itself off by varying pressure with the foam applicator.
It removed all the little marks on the glass and left a decent, smooth finish...
Af #2 sorted this out on its own
50
Now onto dressings
The plastics and glass were given an IPA wipedown
The plastics were dressed with auto finesse revive
I got a bit carried away and did a bit of the engine while the bonnet was up
They weren't 100% but they were a hell of a lot better than before. They were worse than I realised.
I went straight for the @Auto Finesse #2 combo.
It cut the lighter swirls out and left a brilliant finish
The heavier swirls and RDSs remained though
The depth and clarity was...
This ones a long one sorry.
Andrew (@sabian92) asked me to do a bit of correction on his car. It took a while for me to be able to do it due to the lack of a garage but with him being away this weekend and the weather being nice, I got the car for Saturday and Sunday.
When he dropped it off...
I've done a guide in the guides section for removing a mk3 centre console. It shows you how to remove the gear surround too.
I'd link it but my phones about to die sorry. If you don't find it before I get home I'll post it here.
Detailing is a Pandora's box of a hobby lol... Enjoy
Auto smart tardis
Carpro (I think ) iron x
Both can be had for £12ish for a litre on eBay
If you can, get the lemon scent iron x, it's more bearable to use than the original and cherry options lol. They stink lol
And regarding...
Good effort! The car looks ace.
Black is so rewarding :D
I'd definitely recommend using a tar remover and iron remover on the paint before considering using clay.
As Gally said, clay can inflict marring even when used correctly. If you go guns blazing and use it to remove tar and iron...
Photobucket on the iPad has been s**t for a while, now I can't upload on Flickr either... I keep getting 'uploads failed'
Are there any alternative apps which will let me upload pictures to them then copy the links direct from the app to post here?
Cheers
Now that summer is here ( touch wood ) I figured we make best use of it and get out for a drive.
I'm thinking meet next Sunday, May 31st at 10am at the ponderosa cafe again for a brew before heading up to the evo triangle then maybe up for a scenic lap of snowdonia before making our way back...
I used a new pad today and cleaned it after every use (err, every 'section' of a panel) with a medium/stuff bristled tooth brush.
I have it a Quick Mist with water before applying 4/5 little blobs and polishing... Then after each pass on each speed, I quickly felt the pad for heat and...
My thinking is get a better specced and more looked after older car than a shed of a newer one.
You may get lucky and find a well looked after, well specced 197 for £4k but from what I've seen, they're all 06 plate Pov spec ones
