Found it. Your currect couzens JungleJim did do a Ph2 bumper so not sure why Bifcaids said otherwise as it doesnt apply. I was under the impression someone on here had done this with a Ph1?
Keep an eye on ebay for "clio foglight kit" they are official Renault kits that contain EVERYTHING you need. They are rare but can be found from time to time.
Had my clutch changed its gone from very harsh high biting to still being harsh but in the middle with the pedal becoming MUCH lighter. 1.4 ph1 Si.
By harsh i mean the biting point is small and easy to stall.
There was someone who managed to fit a 172 bumper to standard wings. It involved cutting the 172 down slightly but i cant remember who it was and they never provided a guide on how to.
Similar thing Ian. Problem after problem. (this is just faults not including my mods)
- £200 on belt changes
- £60 for service kit (did myself)
- £70 wheel bearing
- £300 clutch
- £60 track rod end and wheel tracking
As like you i also think my exhaust is now on its way out, im sick of...
Depends really on what size wheels you have fitted and what tyre width they have? Whatever you do make sure to get hubcentric spacers to avoid further problems!
Pickup a phone book. Call any none dealer garage and ask for a quote. Then ring around the other garages and play them off each other until you find the cheapest.
Remove the "mug" tattoo from your forehead as well for evening considering using Renault.
Sorry to thread hijack but Curley if ur coming to Derby for Pepsi id also be interested and i live a couple of streets away. Group buy at Pepsi's house? lol
Considering how cheap this fix is i think i will give it a bash regardless. Might as well fit a pair while im changing my springs. It affects all Mk2 Clios right, not just the 172/182s?
Tell them you want to fix the vibration not pay for them to randomly swap parts hoping for a fix. So based on this tell them to stuff the gearbox and start with the more common driveshaft problem.
Hi all,
Just changed my SI's 14" 175/xx/xx wheels for a set of 15" 195/xx/xx Ph1 alloys. Had these balanced and fitted by Quik Fit for convinence on Monday.
My car has now developed a constant low rumble noise and the steering wheel vibrates from 50mph+. I was under the impression anything...
Their website gives me a headache!
Are you planning on lowering on standard shocks? If you are you will want to pay the price for a decent set of springs like Eibachs etc.
Did a quick ebay search and found (black version seems better imo):
Ebay
See if it wasnt for the 2nd "halo" around the indicator bulb id say by Angel Eye standards they wouldnt be THAT bad but alas that isnt the case lol.
