No offence p4ers but if you arent sure then you REALLY shouldnt be doing it to the exterior of your car! Find something you want to colour code, buy another of it off ebay then use it as a test. If you get it looking how you want then fit it to your car otherwise bin it and move on.
As for...
Having your car remapped is the most cost effect way to increase performance. I didnt say it would be cheap but its the cheapest for what gain you get if you understand.
Other than that as said above, just take out whatever you dont need to reduce the weight like backseats.
I went with DirectLine for my first year of driving just to get some NCB. Ive now switched to Adrian Flux who dont charge me anything for cosmetic mods. You can do anything other than increase BHP free of charge as Pepsi has said above.
My house is on the main highstreet for my town. Because of this all the f**king chavs hang out at the shops a couple of houses down and all the pissed "locals" walk up/down my street between pubs. Ive had my wheels slashed, footballs kicked against my clio, people jumping from car > car parked...
Apologies when i read Dannys post about the remapped car i saw the numbers "1" "8" "2". Curse my skim reading! :p
Perhaps the grandes can be remapped then!
Hi all,
Just bought a new set of alloys. My 1.4Si is currently on its standard 14" bad boys and ive picked up what i hope is abit of an ebay bargin in the form of some Ph1 15" alloys and tyres.
Anyway while im in the process of fitting a new set of wheels do you think it would be worth it to...
Ph1 fogs are easily had off ebay. Mine got water damage and the connections corroded. £25 each new delivered. Theres a few ebay shops that do them.
Id double check all the wiring is still behind the covers otherwise that sounds dodgy!
nozza is right, the MTV came with the dual optics from the sports models but nothing else. Actually it might have also come with the front fogs cant remember.
Either way i wouldnt bother with a bigger engine its too much trouble matching wiring looms, gearbox and all other complications that...
Because when you pass your test you have a few popular low insurance choices:
- Corsa.
- Punto.
- Lupo/Golf.
- KA
- Clio.
So i picked the obvious choice :)
Im beginging to think its just a french car thing.
When im pulling off from standing in the mornings and changing up the gears the car makes me jerk in my seat it engine brakes so hard. If i lift my foot from the accelerator in 5th it even pulls the car to the right thanks to engine braking...
Ok i was sick of reading dephaser pully and not being able to find any information on the net other than Renault forums. Found this on pistonheads:
The sprocket on the inlet camshaft is adjustable for timing advance but it wears internally and wont lock correctly. Rattling noise is caused by...
The oil filter is located at the front of the engine block (alittle towards the passenger side) about midway down. You can access this from underneath the car, reaching up behind the plastic tray that covers the front of the bumper.
Ramps are a deffinate must for this job.
Fair play but what sort of price are we talking to get all this done? Did you do it all yourself because i imagine a garage would charge a fair chunk for that work!
My Clio has been nothing but trouble since i got it.
Problems:
- Dodgey seat fold mechanism - Resolved by replacement seat. £100
- Tapping noise when starting cold (suspected oil/filter change might resolve)
- Whirring noise dependant on road speed (suspected wheel bearing on way out)
- Alot...
Double the speed limit on PRIVATE ground. He said it was on a runway if you read all his replies so unless the land owner reported it theres nothing they could do other than sit and watch :)
Hi scott, not sure what you are talking about really.
The Hid kit should literally be clip and go.
Existing headlight feed plugs into the HID kit. HID bulb replaces the existing bulb. And ballast gets secured somewhere in the engine bay.
Thats pretty much all you need todo. If something isnt...
