Hey YA55ER fellow green clio owner here! Except i started with a "Si" model so saved a fair bit of modifying :rasp:
My "Si" and my friends "S" (mine has 172 Ph1 wheels now and Eibach prolines)
I recommend some Ph2 rear light clusters. I think the Ph1 red blocks dont suit the green colour...
http://www.hillpower.co.uk/ Is over in Swadlingcote. Its closer than the others and takes about 30mins to get there from Derby.
Im hopefully heading there next week for some work.
£300 new clutch
£80 service
£250 belt change
£170 new wheels
£100 track rod end, bearing, tracking
£80 wheel arch liner
£50 replacement fogs
£30 Ph2 rear lights
£130 Powerflex uprated mount kit
£150 Eibach Proline
I could go on but its getting depressing :/
Well seeing how RSTuning is taken as gospel what with their RR. Their site states a remapped 1.4 16v gives a 10bhp increase. Thats a bigger gain than the 8bhp on 172 remaps!
So by your logic 172 mapping is even more useless?
I wouldnt go bigger than 16" wheels kriskat as it starts to look like a giant rollerskate and will cause you rubbing problems if you decide to lower the suspension in future! :S
In regards to mods as others have said the best mods will be cosmetic for a 1.2. Things such as: colour coding the...
The 1.4 16v and the 1.6 16v are basiaclly the same engine anyway.
According to RSTuner:
Orginal BHP : 98 HP
Tuned BHP : 108 HP
Orginal NM : 127 NM
Tuned NM : 141 NM
Yeah just glanced over the bay and autotrader theres a couple ph1 auctions under 2k but they appear to have reserves over 2k.
Unless the people claiming to have bought bargins are actually refering to "mates rates" or the equivilant :p
Yeah RSTuning list the 1.4 16vs as able to be remapped. I imagine bringing it closer to the 1.6 in terms of performance as theres little between them anyway.
Also depends alot on your NCB and age. I wouldnt really approach a 172/182 until your 21 with 2 YNCB as a minimum or you will be paying above the odds for insurance!
Put some wheels on your dynamique, lower it and colour code. Just dont go the route of exhaust, induction, remap, coilover due...
Ive heard bad things of lowing to 60mm on standard shocks about the ride quality. I guess it depends if your going for looks or practicality.
Ive got Eibach Proline (30mm) on mine and i dont regret it :)
If you are doing or have done the conversion to dual optic then its going to be more difficult to fit HIDs as you will be missing the HB3 connector. The dual optic is a bodge job and is essentially 2 wires connected straight to the back of the bulb (HB3).
So where as mine was a case of unplug...
Ok let me turn on work mode for a moment (Desktop engineer).
Have you......
