I have some problems with a couple of games and their cut scenes not showing, game play is awesome though. P55-GD65? It's also in need of an update but that has to wait for a while.

My 7970 arrived today. It's massive!! Totally dwarves my old 4870. Plumbing it in with 2x8 Pin connectors was also an arse ache, but it seems to be worth it so far. Games are looking pretty again. Getting a bit cramped in the case:

I like zoo pictures when it's not apparent the animals are caged. Nice shots. Otters always look so cute, but did you know they are deviants?

I had the Switcheasy Tones but it fell to bits within weeks. I just for a replacement phone after the camera got full of crap so bought a new case. The Speck Pixel HD seems pretty bombproof, although the corner pops off the phone in your pocket sometimes.

There are 3x 500watt Elinchrom heads. They came with carry case, white and black 3x15 metre backdrops with stands and wall mount rack, triggers, modifiers and a 1200 watt battery power pack for shooting outdoors. The whole lot cost me £600 and was pretty much brand new. Very lucky find!

You can do a lot with cheap flashes, modifiers and triggers from eBay. I found a bargain 2nd hand set from a guy who had invested in an entire Elinchrom studio set for one job and then wanted rid of it. I put in a really cheeky offer and he accepted. It's paid for itself now and has just been...

I've just made an appointment to get my 5 looked at as the camera has black marks all over it and every photo that it makes. After a quick google it sounds like a fairly common issue. Hopefully they'll just swap it for a new one.

There are rumours that the next gen iPad and iPad mini will be presented this month. I'd hang on for a possible better screen, or a discounted iPad Mini original if you aren't fussed with the upgrade.

Depends on whether it makes a difference. I am hovering on the order button of a 7970 but a couple of tests I've read only give it a few more FPS... I could save £40 and go for the 7950. I haven't really read into it, so was curious if there was more to the 7970.

Are the 7970s worth the extra over the 7950s?

You may have already tried it, but a good fix for the home button is to plug in the apple lead to the phone, then lift it/ rock it up towards the front of the phone. It gave my old 4 a new lease of life.

Something similar happened round here, but it was a pissed up Pole who went through the wall into the lounge with two old people watching TV. Both died as a result and the Pole skipped the country. I think that Interpol(e) tracked him down and he got done for it eventually.

There is an option in the menu for cleaning/ mapping out dust spots. It works well for hot pixels too.

We use Barracuda. It's simple enough to configure and maintain. It's in a similar price point as Bloxx so might be worth a look.

Good to see it's not only me. It does seem to be better today though. Just an Appstore problem perhaps.

The updates screen takes upto 5 minutes to load since I updated to 6.1.2. I've tried on wifi at work, wifi at home and 3G all with the same results. Has anybody else got the same problem?

AVHD player works without having to encode everything and is drag and drop though iTunes/ iFunbox or through Wifi. Well worth the £. Some of the others don't play the audio in some (common) formats of files. (MKV etc).
