I was seriously tempted to do this too, but my mother in law and wife have to be able to use it to with no fuss, so I went for a dedicated media player instead. If you aren't planning on using internet on it, I'd recommend going the same route TBH!

Yep, VLC is free. Quite a handy little app if you dont have time to re encode a vid to put on with iTunes.

Either Handbrake to convert them or instal the VLC player on the ipod (assuming it is the touch) and then drag the unconverted files into the app using iTunes.

I had this a while back and ran Malware bytes, Mcaffee, Spybot and a couple of other bits and pieces and it still came back. I just reimaged my PC and solved it that way as it was going to be quicker than trying to fix it!

I use the simpler option of typing "S" in the search box of the control panel. The results are the same.

Flickr video also noticeably degrades the quality compared to YouTube & Vimeo, in full HD anyway.

PDANET is now free. After the trial period is up you can't use https but http is fine. Beats paying $20 for MyWi anyway.

It was to test a possible workflow. Agent1 answers the phone, takes some basic information from the caller Agent2 opens the form, completes the fields that Agent1 cannot see or edit and finishes the job. Supervisor can pull off a report of who has done what and what remains outstanding etc...

Free solution: nircmd. We have used it for years. Can be used for some amusing pranks too. ;)

Thanks for the offer. I've done it with one of the apps. Its creates the front end for the database with a couple of clicks with user security levels etc. Easy. :)

I've found some applications which make simple database driven web apps. I'll have a play with them as my knowledge of PHP and ASP is almost nill.

Can you not just use VMware with a virtual OS machine? It works fine on my PC, but I am only tinkering and not coding.

Great shots. Do you have a polarising filter? Being able to see through the screen in the first shot really makes it stand out from the others.
