Ive said this before but why do you want nice seats and a nice steering wheel in a 182? Its hardly a luxurious car what with the all the rattles, knocking and the steering wheel not being on straight half the time!
Its not like anyone that gets in your car is going to be impressed by the...
Modern petrols tend to go off. Ive experienced this with motorcycles that have been stood for a couple of years. The petrol in the tank was about as much use as water and you should see the mess left where the fuel evaporated. Took me ages to clean the carbs. Wouldnt want that in my injection...
Might have been the 2.6 V6, they aint as quick as those 200bhp GSIs. There is also a non GSI 2.5 IIRC which has a lot less power than the GSI.
To be honest Id get a GSI instead of an MR2. Its a faster car but more practical car and you get a newer lower mileage car for the same price. Of...
I wouldnt touch the NA Mk2 MR2 with a barge pole unless you go for an import turbo with all the potential trouble that brings. I feel sorry for my mate, he spent a lot of money on that car thinking he was buying some hard core sports car and all he got was a rear wheel drive Avensis with a fancy...
My mate has a Mk2 MR2, think its about an N plate and 170bhp where as some of the earlier models were only 150bhp.
Basically its very slow. It was no faster than my 150bhp Vectra SRI. It actually weighs the same as a Vectra believe it or not which frankly is piss poor for a 2 seater sports...
Car: 182
Year: 2004 54
Miles: 1100
Satisfied: Performance/handling yes, everything else no. Broke down prior to delivery, finally arrived with more faults and damage. Got it fixed but there are more things going wrong.
Mine is exactly like that with the wheel turning right slightly but I would swear its not just the wheel incorrectly placed on the spines. The car is going in the direction of the steering wheel so something is making the wheels turn right.
Can you let me know if they manage to fix it and...
Just driving along a dual carriageway at a steady 50 the wheel seems to be turned slightly to the right. It always seems like I need a slight bit of pressure on it to keep it straight....
Normally if anything I would expect a car to go left with the camber of the road.
I sometimes feel that my car is pulling to the right....at least the wheel always appears to turn slightly to the right if you just leave it. The car has never been curbed or anything though.
You wont notice the difference if you do it every other tank. You want to run it on Optimax for a month but then you will forget what it was like on 95. Plus as the car loosens up with age you wont know if it was the fuel or the car getting quicker anyway. The performance goes up and down anyway...
£116 a year? Thats pocket money to someone running a 182.
Why not drive slowly instead? That will save £116 worth a petrol a year, plus you wont wear out the expensive tyres, brake pads and disks!
My mates pi$$ that away in a weekend what with the drinks, fags, taxis, slot machines and...
Been discussed loads of times but the same pointless comments keep coming up.
The bottom line is that Renault tell you to use 98 RON. For your average driver using Optimax will cost them about £3.50 a month more.
If you cant afford £3.50 a month then you have the wrong car (frankly you...
Thinking about it, why pay more for a more luxurious interior in a car that rattles and knocks non-stop? Hardly luxurious! Might as well just go for a stripped out cheapy version!
If I give someone a lift in my car they are hardly going to be impressed by the quality pmsl, the performance is...
Yeah living in a nice area wont make you any less likely to be a victim of car crime unfortunately. If you wanted to nick some good stuff you wouldnt head for the nearest council estate...
At least in a nice area you wont have t**sers walking down your road on the way home from the pub getting...
Id love to know who all these people are that cant drive for sh1t.
I never leave my car parked alongside a road because its guaranteed to happen, like you say, what a bunch of f**kwits.
Still not as bad as the people that walk down the road kicking off mirrors for fun.
Id like to know the laptime in case I miss 5th Gear. I also want to see how Tiffs lap compares with the one this mag did - as I said before I suspect that the badge/image situation might make his right shoe a little lighter when he drives the Clio....
