Tell you what Tom, when mine was delivered with broken stuff I said take it the f**k away and I dont want it back until its A1 otherwise I will reject it. They got it fixed straight away and that involved some interior trim
No excuse for a 9 month wait, they have box loads of those bits in the...
Mate I would go for the Cup. Firstly you aint gonna be pullin birds or impressing anyone with a Clio. You certainly aint going to convince anyone that its a quality motor - leather seats or not.
The Cup is quicker, some may say marginally but quicker it is. The cars one and only selling point...
Yeah smart move, looks like a lot of people are waiting 12 to 16 weeks and no doubt the factory will close for a month over Xmas!
Lazy French, lets hope they build yours proper.
When I say footwell I mean its in that direction. Its kind down by the right front wheel but not from the wheel, more in towards the engine.
Havent had any clutch trouble yet but I have only done 1200 miles. I am sure I will get it sometime. I seem to gradually be getting all the other...
Yeah my first time was at Bedford, an airfield has to be the way to go. You wont get anything out of the day unless you can really push the car and you cant do that if you are constantly worrying about crashing it.
My knocking started after 600 miles at most. I swear there is some rattling/blowing or something from my exhaust - as I get to about 4k I get this funny sound that sounds too metallic to be induction but is on the left though where as the knocking is down in my footwell.
So does anyone want to take dave182s crown away?
Id like to know how many 182 owners with more than a few k on the clock havent got this knocking?
How many with the knocking got it fixed? I just cannot believe that there isnt a dead cert fix for such a common problem.
I am really thinking...
Here is another version of what could be wrong. Workmates husband is a Renault mechanic and I just asked him on the phone.
He said its almost always some "engine stabiliser bar" and that he has to change them all the time and not just on Clios? He said he has to fix more meganes than Clios for...
dave182 you are still the only Cliosport member to ever get this successfully fixed?
I am still trying to decide whether to wait 17 months for the first service or book it in?
I have to say that it is perfectly fair. Firstly GPS systems are far better than any "detectors" and they will remain legal. As has been mentioned many times before, laser detectors are a complete waste of time and are more of a rip off than the cameras themselves.
I do find it funny when I...
Yeah this one is just the normal Brabus not the one with two engines.
Cooper S Convertible V Smart Roadster PMSL.
Battle of the batty boys by all accounts.
By the way name a motoring programme that hasnt show caravan racing or smashed them up in some way or another. Its getting a bit...
My chip is on the rear wheel and I dont care what anyone says, the rears definitely get dirtier than the fronts on mine. I reckon they are vulnerable to chips so we need to find out what paint can be used ASAP before the salt gets on them.
Mine came with only one can amongst all the other problems and I went feckin mental about the whole lot and they gave me another can.
Your dealer is full of sh1t. If you get a puncture you cant fix it with one can.
Yeah I figured it was something to do with that which is why I wondered if going past that point would make any difference when not using the limiter. To go past that point doesnt feel natural so I cant imagine Renault setting the throttle up so that you have to go past that point to get 100%.
Silly me, I have done 1100 miles in my car and only tonight did I discover that extra half inch of travel in the throttle if you push it down hard after that click.
What I want to know (it was hard to tell) is does pushing the throttle past that point give you any extra performance or not?
Should run out to my car and check but its not dots as such, its a silver/grey background and the alcantara is perforated so you see through to the silver?
I once made a premixed solution of screenwash in a 5 litre bottle and after hardly anytime there were these blue strands floating around. These must clog things up pretty quick.
I now make sure I use the washers regularly so that the screen wash is always being replaced by fresh stuff and...
This is the daftest plan I have heard in ages!
I loved the dci 80 and if I was buying a new car for that sort of money Id get it over the petrol versions. As a way of saving money it does not make economic sense to buy one then sell it after a year. Unless you do massive miles the fuel saving...
Sure I have read about people damaging their anthracite wheels before but search didnt find anything useful.
I just noticed a small stone chip on my wheels and of course its bleedin silver under the anthracite colour. Can I get a touch up stick or something?
Its not big kerbing damage. Its...
