I bought a Halfords jack and axle stands when I took the front shocks off for refurb which did the job perfectly.
Notice they have a sale on at the mo...
Christ what a thread this is!
All I have to say is, drive one and if you like it then great.
Personally, I love my Trophy for the following reasons;
1. Great handling
2. RED with anthracite Turinis looks the nuts
3. Its rare
4. Great seats
Having to fork out £500 to refurb the shocks...
We have a Trophy and a 225. Tbh we find the meganesport site really helpful, but most importantly of all.... a LY R26?? STUNNING MATE! Great purchase!!!!!!
Get yourself on cliotrophy.co.uk. Also find our what number it is as we have an owners register on there. Would be great to add another one to the list!
Sounds like the car needs some TLC, but once fixed its gonna be a cracker of a car mate. Just had my shocks refurbed last month and its...

lol!
Well I hope you're enjoying the new motor mate.
I'm sending the Trophy's shocks away next week for refurbing and the Megane is getting a new cambelt a week later, so not a cheap one for us!
Still loving the cars, although I had a weird hour at the weekend when I wanted to trade in the...

Their c**p reputation swiftly followed!
My mate who's a mechanic now services the Trophy and Megane 225, so I know it gets top treatment.
Cracking looking motor mate. Seriously thinking of getting rid of my Trophy for a Clio200.
Used to have a 197 and still miss it. We also have a Meggy 225 so a nice choice of cars at the moment, but I want something a little more solid than the Trophy now.
My 197 was never as exciting as the Trophy. Hence we traded it in for a 225 which my wife and I share. Nice to come out the house in the morning with a choice of RS cars:)
