go through the main rubber gromet, not 100% sure where it will be on a 197 but most likely will be on the passenger side under the dash, easier to access it from the bonnet and thread it through
my dad used to have a 197 a year or so back and we raced a standard scooby on a duel carrigeway , The scoobys have a lot more torque and we were going at 50ish so it left us but once you get the 197 in the rev range it flies! Basically just rev the tits of it and there isnt much that would win...
Re: i had skidded today and my front passenger wheel hit the curb then the back wheel
Buckled wheel or two probably and steering alignment, People need to learn how to answer a question not jump on him and tell him how to drive..
maybe a wet sand and buff would make it blend better but best to ask someone who knows about these things, try some of the detailing guides on here and then PM the people who post them :)
ye buy a one of a breakers or Fred, i have used a couple in other cars and aslong as you know they are good go for it!, labour to replace a box should be anymore than £200 :)
Mine does it to, its only a 1.6 but does exactly the same thing, its dangerous really though, i can pull out of a junction and it just has no power and almost stalls!, 2 mins on and its perfect :)
i bought a merc g wagon with 350k on the clock for £500 then sold it for a quick profit, our works van (x work van as i crashed it ;P) had 110k on and its a 59plate , old navara had 100k and was under 2 years old, isnt there someone who has done 1mill miles? im sure ive heard of something...
I just did mine in 5 minutes..., I used a ratchet extension and a hammer to tap the pins out and then for the last bit just get some pliers on the top and pull, have someone lift the door up to relieve pressure
Im getting either a 172 or a 182 in the next couple of months but im really unsure which to go for., would want a mint low mileage 172 something similar to this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Clio-172-sport-2002-/180654551494?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a0fd9b1c6#ht_1493wt_1139

Heading down the m42 just past the tamworth turn off, Saw a 172 in blue which was lowered quite a lot i would say 60mm, it had an aftermarket exhaust, looked amazing one of the best i have seen but i bet the rides bad!, I didnt have chance to get a good look because you were going about 40 down...
