Hi Matt and welcome... You might get a slightly one sided opinion of 172s on here! ;) My advice is to go out and test drive one, and if you like it, buy it. You wont be dissapointed, and reliability isnt a problem.

Mav, on newer engines the 0 rating is ok, but imho wouldnt recommend it on older engines (6+ years old). Saying that, I had it in my old 16v (1994) and it was great, 110,000 miles when I sold it (2 years ago) with no probs.
