yes in the UK/europe a 1.6 16v from 2004> had rear discs, as did all DCI 100 clios. and of course the 172/182
straight swap when no ABS is involved, just swap the rear stubs, calipers and discs with bearings. you then require a pair of rear disc handbrake cables and either make new brake lines...
Kirk done a full respray on my ph1 172, I had a bit of a wait to get booked in but then he turned it around in just over 2 weeks and its flawless! seen some of his fabrication work on a Ferrari that was in for a full respray before mine and it was very nice
My genuine Renault one for my 197 was stamped both LUK and Valeo !
my RSI has a LUK in it as that's what we fitted in the customer cars at the garage I worked at and I've never had an issue with any of them (and it was the cheapest!) and its been spot on
driveshafts should be fine id have thought, its only when you go 2.0 16v widetrack, no ABS is good as it makes a rear disc conversion nice and easy!
im not sure if its the same over there but in the uk the clio 2 with the K4M had a cat on the manifold, but meganes with the same engine didnt, i...
my K4M Clio goes really well, with so little weight it doesn't feel much slower than my 197 lol
Front brake upgrade is nice and easy, I'm not sure if you need the hubs (id suspect you will) but other than that its an easy swap. just remember MOST solid disc cars I've come across had the 52mm...
ironically its one thing I don't have access too is airbag coding, never needed to do it! - Stu @ renomotive will have the means to do it, or as above SWR
oh i don't have one that connects to a tyre, I've got the one that you pressurise yourself, its got a valve on it so when you disconnect the hose from the reservoir cap, no more fluid is coming out, so you end up with your reservoir at the same level as it was before you started, just with fresh...
Doesn't that only happen if you release the pressure while still connected to the reservoir? I disconnect the connector then release the pressure and that way you don't fill the res to the top.
to the OP, I built mine from dry and I flushed 5 litres of fluid thru and still didn't have a...
There is a rare old beast for you... I don't believe they were ever available in the UK in 5door/2.0 - I did see some in Europe back when I had mine though. -this one is RHD though...
few points id make having owned them all over the years.
there's no reason imo to own a trophy over any other mk2 RS as a drivers car especially given the price, for me the 172 cup was the best drivers car, and you will have just as much or more fun in a cheap ph2 172 with change to overhaul...
I run AD08RS on my van and they are absolutely fantastic in the dry, blow the Michelin out the water with some heat in them. It's a summer only car so ideal for it's usage.
Everything else I run PS3 and it's a great all rounder
will be fine, the torque delivery is the key with them, i had one that was on the rollers at 118bhp/145lb/ft and it had issues with clutch slip but had done almost 100k.
my latest one at 145hp / 147lb/ft with smoother torque delivery was spot on
I had issues with the drivers electric window switch, it would put the window down 100% of the time but it was extremely hard to get back up! you had to repeatedly just keep releasing and re pulling the switch until it worked. It done this from brand new and was back in twice to the dealers who...
mine got a battery at just over 1000 miles under warranty and then another at 12 months old, probably around 8k, first one was due to it refusing to turn the headlights off, no matter what i did, ultimately killing the battery by the time it got recovered to the dealers and then the second one...
The genuine Renault plugs were denso I'm sure! Thymey definitely weren't NGK! I remember doing a first service on one and being surprised when I pulled out non NGK plugs
it wont need an AGM for a 1.2 Dynamique as it wont have stop start, just a basic run of the mill battery which I assume has been tested to confirm its not a faulty new battery?
is it actually missfiring?
