    1.2 into 1.6 engine swap

    they are of similar age so probably quite closely related. the 1.2 16v and 1.6 16v clios use the same front brakes, only the 1.2 8v had smaller brakes. if you are going to the hassle i would want to swap over to widetrack and 2.0 16v brakes/suspension.

    sounds like it could be a noisy clutch release bearing, ive had one on my daily driver for about 10k miles, don't notice it until someone points it out now lol

    i wouldn't worry about swapping to the JC5 for strength, the JB3 is a fairly decent box anyway! Are you sure your K4J has a JB1? aren't they all front starter motor?

    buzzing from the throttle body is perfectly normal, it will stop about 30 seconds or so after the car is shut down. you sure the cam timing is spot on? floating pulleys so belt tensioned with the pulleys loose etc as per the workshop manual?

    yeah looks to me like that has a front starter where the Clio 2 has a rear starter under the exhaust manifold. so yes it will be under your starter
