Just use the 172 mount with the powerflex bushes they are the same fitment. Later ones had them as standard

The ticking sounds normal, but the odd uneven noise sounds like a bearing on the rotation side, id put my cash on the water pump, for all it costs id get the timing belt and water pump changed and make sure they change the aux tensioner/roller too.

an afternoon after a trip to the scrappy is your best solution, i done it on my Grande, move over to ph2 hubs and brakes, means you also go from solid front discs to 260mm vented!
