Went over to help my mate clean up his 182 ready for sale so decided to take some pictures, excuse the poor quality only had my phone on me, decided to throw my un washed flamer in for a few (being unwashed I suppose makes the 182 look even better than it actually is lol!!)
I went from 172 manifold with standard cat to 182 manifold and decat, on a car with exhaust and filter already and noticed a healthy difference mid range, was very impressed, im sticking one on my current one although using a sports cat and my current standard exhaust so will see how it goes...
ive also owned one and driven loads in various state of tune, and from brand new to 100,000 miles. standard ones will always let off a flutter when you lift off just as it boosts, its the sound of the boost being recirculated into the inlet manifold
lag is normal on them if its just a quick but of lag between gears like you said.
you will also hear it flutter slightly lower down the revs, again like you explained, all normal
miles more fun, I like DCI's as you know id love another dci100 or GT 106 if I needed to do miles again with work but Twingo GT's are epic fun with a few mods, ive driven a few mapped Clio TCe's and they are alright but not as much of a giggle as the twingo, any gear as long as you were over...
remaps transform them they are mapped as standard to feel as close to an n/a as possible and you will hardly tell they are turbo charged when you drive one, drive a mapped one and you know all about it! my twingo took off like a scalded cat at 2000rpm!
