Halfords is a rip off. If there's a trago mills up there then get some from there, it's dirt cheap. As long as you don't get loads of spits or runs I'm sure it will be fine whatever you use.
Don't forget the masking tape. ;)
Lube the end of the cable up, push it through the grommet in the passenger foot well, push around a foot through, pop the bonnet, release the coolant tank, pull and twist it out of the way to the left, push your hand down behind the lining and pull up and around. Put the bottle back and hook it...
So I put it all in and it's safe to say, the sub isn't staying, it's insanely loud! The car feels like it's going to fall apart, so I'm very impressed with the amp, the sub taking up pretty mush the whole boot.....not impressed.
Here's a pic off google of the insides.
Too right, consoles are ghey but forza is a brilliant game. It's a shame that there's no decent driving games for pc. Oh and anyone that mentions need for speed, get out.
+1 on not having a 1*2 in the game either, shame.
Got all the cables routed, I'll hook everything up tomorrow and see what it's like. I put the sub in the boot and it takes up 3/4 of the boot space, so it won't be staying. Things are looking like a decent set of components up front, amped, no sub.
Yeah I'll look into the guides for doing the fronts, I only have 6x9's in at the moment as they were in the car when I got it, plus the rear door card speakers have had it.
Another question, are 3 way coaxials any good for the rear door cards or just stick with 2 way?
I would run the fronts too but I've got not idea where to star amping components, plus it's still got the standard speakers. I'll have a mess around and figure out what I'll be buying next.
Oh, and has anyone opened one up? 24K gold plated circuit board! Looks immense.
Not sure yet, going to try my 6x9's instead of the 1000 watt sub that came with it as it's massive and I don't have any need or want for something so powerful. Ill also try it in tri linear and see what it produces.
Has anyone got any experience with these amps? The model in question, MS-275 is what I have come across, in an alright condition. I might clean it up, give it a lick of paint if it's going to be worth it.
I'm 24, doing my test in june, got a 172 cup for my first car and I've had quotes around the 1500 mark fully comp, 1200 tpft. Thats actually cheaper than a 1.2 saxo..... Don't ask me how, I double and triple checked, and it's right.
Loving life.
By the sounds of it you aren't the most confident when it comes to mechanical things (no offence) So that would be an idea, yes. On the other hand it's easy, find a guide on here and get stuck in. You'll appreciate it more if you've done it yourself.
