If that's the case, then I'm not sure how I could manage this. As far as I can tell, the sleeves are as far as they will go. I'll contact Powerflex and see what they say though.
I can understand this. But too deep in which direction? My point is that is seems both you and Fred are saying the sleeve should be further to the left (in the case of the 2nd photo, ie. closer to the chassis). I'm saying that this isn't possible due to the physical length of the sleeve. I'm...
I don't quite get it still. For the sleeves to get closer to the chassis, they'd have to be physically longer. They get pushed in from the right (inside of the wishbone) and have a lip on the end of the sleeve so they can't go any further in (towards the left).
I have no idea if they have been torqued - this was all done by a workshop. Since I'll be doing the next set myself - what should they be torqued to and should they be tightened under load?
Not sure what you mean about the sleeves being pushed in too far - they sleeves are pushed in from the...
Interesting - how would you avoid this? The sleeve is sitting correctly within the wishbone (Powerflex modified the sleeve around to ensure there is *no* way it will slip out of the wishbone)
The sleeve's have more than just one tack weld on them (they have 4). I honestly don't think the...
The thought of an underlying issue has come up - but the alignment was all spot on when they were first fitted (it's only deteriorated with the bush). I'm all out of ideas unfortunately. The orientation looks correct and I don't think the issue lies with the welds either as the sleeve isn't...
I don't know if you should be. I've never read of anyone else having this sort of issue and Powerflex are baffled by it as they've never seen it before either :/
I don't quite see how the tack welding could be at fault here though, the sleeves themselves aren't moving at all, it's the entire wishbone that's flexing.
This requires a bit of a back story - back in December I got a set of the Powerflex wishbone bushes fitted by a suspension 'specialist' who argued with me the sleeves needed no welding - sure enough, 2 days later on track, the sleeves had popped out and were ruined.
They decided to repair the...
Might have to see if I can get a quote for getting it done. Always heard they're the first thing to go from high revs and given I track a fair bit and drive my car hard, might be worth doing.
It really depends on the insurance policy. In most polices, drivers under the age of 25 have to pay a higher excess than anyone over 25. Some policies, to have a cheaper premium, have REALLY high excess for anyone that's not listed on the policy.
In the case of my parents cars, their policies...
There is FAR more to it than that. A lot of the time you can't simply import the vehicle, most of the time they have to be modified and engineered ($$$) to meet specific ADR's.

Is it possible to do this without touching much else? Is it simple a case of sump off, oil pickup moved/removed and replace the standard bolts with the ARP bolts? Or is there more to it...
We have about 5 or 6 Vee's in Australia + a V6 Trophy Race Car. The couple of V6's that have been sold here were about $60,000 AUD (40k GBP).
LCT is NOT 60%, it's 33% and is only payable on the amount above the LCT threshold (see here...
It's been installed 3 times, pretty sure I'm not a complete tw*t with a spanner. Throttle is definitely aligned right, always paid special attention to that (not that it really needs it tbh).
Preeety sure I remember reading claims that it did provide 'good gains on the stock map' (I found the...
Like I said - I know I'm not the first person to get poor results. I'm going to leave it at that. Arguing any further is of no use to anyone. I merely posted my results to show that no, not every RS2 car responds well.
It's either the manifold, or the map. Definitely not the engine. I'm more...
And I don't have a good basis for comment? I know what my car felt like the day before I put the RS2 on. 30s into my first drive I was already disappointed and that hasn't changed. Yes, the manifold feels awesome <3000rpm, but after that it just turns to s**t and is slower than a stock car.
I...
Virtually proving my point with that graph about you pommies and corrected flywheel power. 133 hp atw somehow translates into 187.3hp @ the engine? Please...
Chip, Mike has mentioned my ignition advance is a bit 'funny' in places. Henk disagrees with this. What am I supposed to do. Mike/James...
Did you read what I said at all? I'm very very certain my car wasn't down on power to begin with. It was pulling higher than some stock 182's half a year ago with nothing more than a 2.25" leaky exhaust, ITG Maxogen and remap.
Give me 2-3 weeks and I'll get it dynoed on the same set of rollers...
I wasn't going to post this, but I can't help myself... too annoyed. Listen to this man ^
What you're looking at is a stock 182 (green line, 111.8 fwkw) vs my RS2'd 172 w/ 100 cell metal cat and K-Tec Supersport Recessed exhaust (red line, 108.3 fwkw)
Tuned by Henk. My car is pulling a...
My suspension joint told me the ARB bushes are a waste of time as the standard items are fine. Wishbone bushes on the other hand, are worth doing.
Just remember to weld the metal sleeves to the wishbone so they don't pop out on track -_-
That's a very good effort. It is really easy to install except for the bottom left manifold bolt... absolutely no room to get there or any tools. Absolute prick to do that one.
You can map the RS2 via a custom tune with RS Tuner - exactly what I'm doing with my unit at the moment... with less...
Dom, I'd really try giving the 100 cell metal cat a go. I think this is where my car gets its extra raspiness from in comparison to yours. I don't think the 2.25" vs 2.5" would make that much of a difference.

Interesting. The two engines I've had drop valves did it on the exhaust side both times. Car was running unmapped CatCam 428's.
Almost as bad as my first time. Except I had mine fail at 6500rpm. Got a lovely hole in the block and bits of my valve found stuck in the cat converter...
