Out of interest (as I really have no idea, I've never bothered researching) does the TDF kit require a standalone ECU and is that inc in the 2500 pounds?
The other thing that adds to the cost of ITB's for us is the rather high cost of tuning in AUS.
If you gents who don't believe any of it send me some money, I'll go get a dyno run done next week (ITG Maxogen, RS Tuner and Devil cat-back) and then go get another one after I fit and map my RS2. It's a bit f**king stupid comparing a car with previous engine mods against the RS2 and saying the...
I'm assuming you have the Engine Dynamics short shifter? I always wondered about that gap too.
Yanoo - what if you've got the other type of shift rod though?
Ah - I'll miss out then. I've only got the old 6500_5B03 loaded atm.
Speaking of cal's... I'll be contacting you in the near future for a custom map Henk ;)
To be honest, I have no idea what power that particular vehicle is putting out. Unfortunately we don't have many modded Clio's down here... too damn expensive to get the parts over and tune it.
I know there's one recently ITB'd car running the K-Tec kit that pulled an apparent 180.1hp @ the...
I know your pain... looks identical to my first engine that died... second engine that died wasn't as bad (was going much slower, just bent the valve).
First one:
Needless to say, my car now runs OEM cams...
Decided to splurge a bit on a few detailing bits from waxit.com.au
Concours 900 Polisher
Lake Country CCC pads (Orange, White, Grey and Blue)
Menzerna Polishes (Final Finish, Power Finish, Power Gloss and Sealing Wax)
P21s 100% Carnauba Wax
She's looking rather sexy now.
I've also got...
I just don't really like them. Although there are a few I would have if I got given them... I just wouldn't buy any.
The smaller forums tend to be a lot more personal and friendlier I find :D
The V8 Supercars are quite good to watch actually - always some crashing and overtaking going on. But their road going cars... nah, wouldn't touch either.
Probationary licence. In Australia, you have your learners licence (where you have to put a yellow L plate on the car) and then you go onto a probationary licence (length depends on the which state you're in) - in my case I have to be on it for 4 years. After that you're on your full licence...
It's hard to compare as it's not easy to remember. I'd say it's a bit more progressive (there's more bite at the start, but it's even throughout the travel of the pedal).
It's not bad, in Victoria we have 7 Renault dealers. Renault Australia are currently trying to push the RS range very...
So some updates:
Had the Wilwoods fitted about a month ago. Consists of the Wilwood 4 piston Dynapro caliper, Pagid RS4-2 Blue pads (custom made) and KTR braided lines. Had them out on the track and they were flawless!
Had an proper wheel balancing and alignment done, cost a pretty penny...
I ran 215/40 16 Kumho KU36's on +37 offset wheels and they were hitting the wheel guards inside and outside edge on the rear + scrubbing on the front under heavier compression... this was on stock suspension too. Got worse when I installed my Bilsteins.
I recently got some Wilwood 4 pots and am running them with custom made Pagid Blue's. Definitely cannot complain!
Fred is right though. By my rough measurement, I figured out the OE pad has ~11% greater surface area.
Thanks! I wish I got anything but silver though, it's the most boring colour.
Next time I post a photo in this thread, it'll be of some tasty Wilwoods fitted to the car ;)
