Exactly haha! Life wouldn't be fun if we each knew the answer to everything!
That's what forums are for.
Note: For anyone who searches and finds this thread in the future:
-If fitting spacers, put copper grease between it and the hub to stop it seizing
-If spacer has seized, use Tony's method...
I've been looking at getting one of these too. Think I'll go for Gally's recommendations!
What drying towel/microfibre is recommended? I need a new one/couple.
Re: 1000'th Post: My New Racing Blue 182 - Update: *Turini's*
Soo, no one intersted in my last post :o
Well slightly more interesting update!
Met "Renault Enthusiast" today, and swapped my standard alloys for Speedline Turini's, so thought I'd get a few pics.
Only budget tyres though, so may...
Heated it up. Hammer + screwdriver, and it came off.
Cheers for all the help. Shame I didn't just do that before I ruined it.
Remember boys, copper grease your bits!
Just check the spring is seated correctly in the shock at the front. And you've assembled the top mount parts correctly.
Although as said could just be that they should settle.
Have you tried it with a different phone?
Test whether its just your phone or something not done right on the alpine?
When you buy an aftermarket headunit, none of them come with the adaptors for the steering wheel controls. There's far too many variations for each model of car for them to...
Haha, I still don't really get it.
So far I've worked out:
Navi-Xtreme Media Portal > Most-viewed 24 hour / 7 days > then click one of the folders that comes up and just have a look through them..
Although half of the films I've tried don't appear to do anything. Other than that don't really...
I had a 2005 1.2 16v, and it came with a bench rear seat, and I swapped it for sport seats, which are obviously split folding seats, and all fitted fine.
Bolts at the back in exactly the same place, and the metal hook things that hold the front of the seat bit you sit on, I just had to cut slits...
That's a rip off for them mate. I manager to get my Hid's into the existing metal clip. Just unplugged the wires and threaded them through one at a time.
One of the plastic connectors was a real tight squeeze but managed to get it through.
Failing that just go to a scrappy and get a couple of...
Yea will do mate. Cheers.
Only thing is, Im not sure how tight to bolt the spacer to the hub. I can't have it really loose, because otherwise the bolt heads don't sit flush with the spacer, and wheel doesn't go on. But still loose enough to just undo with my fingers.
Nice with black wheels. Not something I've seen before.
Only thing I think upsets it a bit is the front seems lower than the back, in terms of height from top of tyre to arch.
If this was evened out, either by lifting the front, or lowering the back. Looks a bit odd as it is atm.
You want to...
I'm just gonna try driving it a bit further tomorrow with Tony's method again. And try and find someone with a blowtorch.
Also can't destroy anything other than the spacer. Need the wheel back on for monday.
Lol. okay. Well I tried for like 15 mins.
Loosely bolted the spacer to the hub, then bolted the wheel tight to the spacer.
Then dropped the jack rele fast, wiggled the steering wheel left/right loads of times.. Drove forward, brake sharp, drove back, brake sharp a few times.
Wheel off, Still...
So people will upload to other sources, and then over time IF will add these sources to its directories, and slowly will build up its content again do you reckon?
Yea pretty simple to do. Good to see you've got new clamp and manifold fitting kit.
Literally two bolts at manifold end (with springs and washers)
One/two bolts at the other end, depending on type of clamp.
And you'll need a large spanner to remove the lambda sensor. Easier to unclip Lambda...
see my list ^ Tried using various things to make it spin! Not even the slightest goddam movement!
I guess my only possible solution is heat then! Although I don't own anything to make heat with. Oh dear. :o
Maybe I'll just light a bonfire underneath. That should do the trick.
