Lol, I'm trying to use these bad boys, are yours different? :
But f**k me if I can get the spring to compress enough using them!
Even when both hooks are touching each other, its not compressed enough!
Absolute 'mare
Re. Instructions, are you referring to the rear shocks, and the two metal washers with two rubber bits inbetween at the top?
I have a Fubar'd Vmaxx rear shock, and when I compressed it off the car, it just stayed fully compressed, didn't slide back up.
Had been leaking fluid though.
Trying to refit some original springs back onto the original shocks on a 2005 Mk2 Ph2 1.2 16v.
However because the springs are so long and compress so much, I'm using them wind up spring compressors, but I can't get it to compress enough to get the top hat + bearing on etc. Been trying all...
Ha I am in exactly the same situation.
Fitted a Sabelt wheel over Christmas, soo cautious in trying not to ruin it.
Clean my hands, don't like letting it slide through my hands when straightening out from corners either for the same reasons!
Don't touch the blue bit if I can help it.. the list...
I'd personally raise it a tiny bit too. So the arches sit just above the tyres.
You want a bit of rake too. But you should find if you match the height from the tyre to the arch on both front and back this'll happen naturally.
What's it on?
Wheels need a clean!
Quality write up, so true all the things you say! Must be such an awesome feeling when you look out your window and see it!
Awesome awesome car. I would love so much to own a similar type car one day.
Have you got any plans for it?
Some new exterior photos. Fitted my Carbon Fibre splitter too. Second hand so not perfect condition but does the job.
Next on the list is sportlines or a remap. Or Wheel refurb. And I need new tyres!
Take out the ash tray pocket bit with the lid to the right of the lighter it. Just slides upwards out.
Then put your hand in the hole and pull up. And the hole plastic drink holder, cigarette unit surround comes right out.
Yea you won't find a smaller one with airbag. Aftermarket is the only way to go really if you want smaller.
I've recently got a Sabelt RenaultSport one. 330mm so smaller than the standard. Lovely feel too.
Only thing is made of suade, and they don't last very long.
Look on demon tweaks at OMP...
