Don't know if its to any use for anyone on here, but JR Spares scrapyard have a 172 cup when I went yesterday, so thought I'd let people know.
Its in Paddock Wood for anyone local.
The blokes who work there are a bit weird, got told off last time for removing a megane splitter "but you've done...
Cheers for all the comments!
Yea I love the seats, look awesome I think, and are really comfy and supportive too. Big thank to Cup_Phil again, Sound bloke!
Jesus, my yozza sat right perfectly first time, so not sure what issues your having!
Still.. onto the next plans!
When I was involved in an accident with an HGV when my car was parked, I hadn't even got round to contacting insurers when aviva phoned up saying the company had reported the accident to them.
Hope you get it sorted as easy as that!
There is defo a guide in the guide sections. On a spoiler iirc. See my one on bullets too in there :)
But basically you sand down, few coats plastic primer/primer, sand down, few coats basecoat (colour), sand if required, Few coats of lacquer.
Re: 1000'th Post: My New Racing Blue 182 **Update: Recaro's**
Well following on from getting my Yozza a few months back, I've just made a new purchase for my RB. Complete impulse buy, but big thanks to Cup_Phil :)
I love them, let me know what you think:
Managed to swap that black connector thing over by drilling out the rivet, rather than swapping the whole slider, though could be done easily.
The sliders were exactly the same, could even see where the connector thing had been on them!
Now just need some resistors for the other black...
I don't know with regards to actual fitting,
But obviously the sport springs are designed to handle the weight of the 2L engine, which is obviously heavier than the 1.2!
Noo don't do gloss black. Unless you have a container ship full of tyre shine it don't look good.
Anthracite and black look awesome.
Rover Stone Grey is most like 182 alloys. Or Ford Graphite grey is bit darker, or Peugeot Steel grey is darker still.
Ahh that could be a solution.
I'll go out a check tomorrow. pretty sure the 172 and 182 sliders are the same.
If they are I'll go about seeing if I can swap them over at all.
Are the sliders individual on both sides, or are they joined?
Or just cut the wire and put a resistor in the connector, then when I go back to standard solder the wires back up?
Also regarding the pretensioners, do I need to have the connector in the top for it to work properly?
Coz at the moment I've just unplugged the wire altogether and just bolted on...
But then what happens when I go to put it back on my original seats?
Also there's some metal pin sticking down below it which is like a hook, so if I try pulling it off its just gonna break.
Trying to fit Recaro buckets to my 182, and will be using the standard belts, so am in the process of swapping the pretensioners and buckles over.
I'm just a little unsure of what people have done with the connectors.
I've done the passenger one easy, as there is only a single connector plugging...
