    Motorsport Videos

I was messing around on YouTube last night and found some amazing DTM videos from the 80's and 90's, but the soundtrack was awful, so I changed it a bit ;) The music might not be to everyone's taste, but I prefer it to the original terribleness. Take a look here: If anyone else got any...

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Well, she's gone to her new home in Portsmouth today. Sad day but I know she'll be well cared for by the looks of things. Best Clio RS I've had.

    Iceberg 172 Cup

I think I'll definitely be back in another Clio RS - I love these cars and I'm not finished with them just yet ;) We'll see how the MR2 Turbo goes when I get one. Knowing me I'll have sold it by this time next year and be in something else. Probably a Clio. I've not had a 197 yet lol :)

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Yeah, i think you're right, It's gone for what its worth. I could have stuck it up at a daft price but it would be sat here for ages I suppose. Its a good car and I'll miss it though 😢

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Yeah, well, i think i might have underestimated the interest and maybe the value of the car to be fair. But, it seems to be going to a good home, so happy with that. I feel a bit sick that its going now 😊

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Hahaha  - I'm after an SW20 MR2 turbo for some mid engine RWD action. I can't afford a Clio V6 right now :(

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Haha, of course, I'll do it next time I'm in an appropriate location  And yes, the J&R shafts seem fine to me, the quality of them appears really good too.

    Iceberg 172 Cup

@leeds2592 yeah I was in a rush and ended up going to the dealer, but I should have really ordered online to be fair as I ended up have more time to get it done than I thought. @Chris_Beer the drive shaft was a brand new unit from J&R, perfect fit for the Cup :)

    Iceberg 172 Cup

@cs_dave £5k lol Only joking, I was thinking of putting it up for £2350 elsewhere, but I'd take £2k for it. Belts were done in Jan 15 with proof. mileage is just shy of 88k.

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Ok, so new drive shaft installed, along with 3.1 litres of Elf gearbox oil from Renault (£42 WTF!). But, I've been looking at another car, so this may be up for sale shortly. I'm a bit gutted really as this is by far the best Clio I've owned to date. But, if it goes for the right money, I'll...

    Clio Williams 2 - Restoration

Those inner sills look pretty damn good for a 20+ year old Renault! Not bad at all. Good luck and keep at it! Its funny to think that you can in theory pick up a fair Williams needing TLC for around £3K, but if they need this amount of work, then perhaps the £5/6/7K + price tags on better cars...

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Ok, so a small update. I broke something :/ I took the Clio to a local rolling road day: The Cup made fair power for a pretty much standard 13 year old car, other than breathing mods: But over the last few days, I noticed a clunking noise from the passenger wheel area. I had a look...

    Iceberg 172 Cup

To be fair, it would do my head in if I were using it for work and what not. I do really like it though purely for enjoyment, and I think using it daily would take something away from that enjoyment. I'll try and post up a vid later if I can.

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Yes, i fitted it, i managed to break the manifold to cat spring clamps in the process though, so had to order a new kit from Renault. Real PITA job that! Then I realised that the rear box exhaust mount was failing badly as the back box was hanging down way too much, so replaced that with a red...

What is that blue car running? BC are made in Taiwan aren't they, same factory as the Meister R stuff? But do both have top mount adjustable damping?

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Plus a decent Geo set up I suppose we're talking about £650 all in if I fitted them myself then. Hmmm...need to do a little bit more business then :)

What's the best price on the Bilsteins nowadays?
  23. Will16V

    Iceberg 172 Cup

@imprezaworks yeah in need of Cooksports or Gaz coilies I'm thinking  The Eibach's and OEM Renault Cup shocks are great handling wise, but, it needs to drop down at the rear I think, it would change the look and hopefully the handling of the car. the rear end can sometimes be a bit light...

I love the mk1's and really miss mine :( Good work though, well done - are you going to paint the car eventually?

    Iceberg 172 Cup

A slightly better pic of the car with the new wheels after a quick wash today. Its hard to get the wheels in the right light without adjusting the image too much with them being so dark, it doesn't catch the flawless finish enough! I really do need to get that back end down though...

Beautiful combo with the blue paintwork and white wheels :stig: May have to try the Yoko's at some point in the future, heard some good reviews on them.

    Iceberg 172 Cup

Yep, sure was, and glad I got the track rod ends done on both sides, the car certainly feels a little more precise after having it all tracked up again :)

    Iceberg 172 Cup

I forgot to mention, MOT time yesterday. It failed first time around :( Only on a front NS track rod end though. I had both the NS and OS replaced, then it sailed through with no other advisories, so all good until August 2017 now :) I've also managed to pick up an unsilenced supersport center...

Nice update Mark, I like the work with the brake ducting in the fog housing, very functional but looks great too :) Can't wait to see the wheels on the car!
