It was quick, and i was suprised, but not as fast as mine outright - acceleration was no contest 0-100 - but it wasnt that slow...

Whoa whoa whoa, hang on....the RSI aint that slow....i know a guy with one, and although he has modified it, it really does do well to keep up with my 16V...
Think he has induction kit, full magnex system, power boost valve and chip...
Not standard i know, but he was doing 135mph behind me...

Behind the carpet, there is a rubber grommet that goes through inyo the engine bay - dont think you can see it as its behind the heat shield - noticed it when i was messing about with a new clutch cable...could be that if the grommet has come away......

The cable should go through the bulkhead, then down towards the crossmember (think thats what its called), as far a way from the manifold as possible,(not behind the heatshield, below it), then u should route it across towards the passenger side of the car, u can then see it appear where there...
Suzuki wouldve thought....maybe sri nova - all pretty similar engines - depends on car weight - bet u could spend loadsa money on em all and they would be as quick...

I got some Brembo MAX grooved disc and some EBC pads for the front - still bedding them in so not too sure how good they are yet...seem a bit better than the originals but not yet had the chance to properly test em....

I dint repair my heatsheild - just bought a new one from Reno - bout £32 + vat or somthin....
I did the cable myself, but i ran it incorrectly aswell as damaging the heatsheild....it snapped 4 months later about 4 inches behind the fixing on the pedal. - i got a mechanic to do the job for me...
Was looking forward to an engine management chip being fitted in Jan aswell....somehow takes away the excitement, and had me looking in the sports & performance section of the autotrader too....!
But ill keep the valver 4 now.....
I ususally use a good quality 10w - 40w oil - GTX Magnatec....Shell Helix is good too...
I heard Mother Shiptons high grade cooking oil works a treat but have never tried it myself....;)

Pulled up to some lights near the motorway...next thing hear brrrrrrrrrrrr tshhh and see in my rear view two cars flying behind me....one had 3 pairs of lights on main beam , thinking what the hell is this???!?
