Company called 'Monster Tuning Ltd' in Telford have apparently mapped the Clio I bought,
Reason I say apparently is that I don't have the dyno results in paper
So I did a bit of searching on their FB and actually found that they did Remap it, well there's a photo of the car on their Dyno at...
Sorry I should of made it clearer - I meant the backbox is sagging a little low, so the backbox mounts
I'll agree with you on that one, you might get an extra 1-2bhp but hardly with it for the MOT hassle
Here's a photo of the current system :
The exhaust is sagging abit too, but I'm not sure if this exhaust used the standard mounts?
I'll try get some better photos of the backbox and see
I can get the cat work done myself, have access to a car ramp and a mates a decent welder so it's just the cost of the cat and materials
I do know a couple of 'friendly' MOT testers, but my thinking was I can make it quieter and MOT friendly at the same time....kill 2 birds with one stone
Also...
So I'm deciding to put a cat back on my 182, so deciding what cat I should be looking at
Do I just get an OEM secondhand one?
Or get a new one off eBay like this : http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=130626847278&globalID=EBAY-GB
Or any other suggestions I should look at...
Yeh just a 1.4 Corsa Exlusiv, been a great first car but after almost a couple of years of driving it, it's time to get something a bit quicker
I'd like to think it is tastefully modified, not your typical corsa which is generally slammed and a loud exhaust haha
Worst of this is that I can't...
If I'm honest, I have no idea - I don't know what a standard clio 182 setup is like, so I'm not sure what should be where
Yes I know someone who is pretty good with welding, so might get him on the case!
Here's a couple of quick snaps, I'll get the DSLR out when I've given it a clean
I reckon it sounds nice if I'm honest, Here's a quick vid of it :

I only just went up to 5k, you can just hear it open up for a second....chickened out as my dog was being a...
I'm just looking at the emissions of the last MOT which was done with this exhaust :
CO : 0.01% (Limit is <3.5%)
HC: 7PPM (Limit is <1200PPM)
I have a feeling these results aren't from the Clio....haha
Interestingly though they seemed to pick up a few things on advisory's (which all work was...
I don't mind the noise myself, in fact I quite like it
Somehow I don't think the Police will like it quite as much though....
What's the worst that could happen if they stopped me? I'm guessing just a fine and change it within so many days or something?
I'll look into that, Can you run a...
Finally bought a Clio (they'll be a thread to follow at some point) but it's got a custom exhaust system on it....and bloody hell isn't it loud!!
I've got to admit it sounds amazing, but I know it's just going to attract unwanted attention!
So looked underneath and this is what we have ...
I did see, but technically only as the 'existing' owner (I assume the name on the V5) which I'm obviously not, so I'd rather just trailer it tbh
Anybody got any other advice/thoughts on this matter?
Awaiting to hear back from the garage, but they obviously had it as some point as I've seen there old eBay advert (not sure if it actually sold on there)
Apparently the reason for no section 10 is that the current owner on the V5 (who in reality now is a previous owner) filled that in mistake...
I'm fairly sure that's exactly what's happened, or something similar
As I see it: Current owner on V5 part exchanged it to the garage, owner of garage sold it to his mate, and it's this mate which is now selling it....make sense?
Does seem a little long way of doing it but car has been looked...
Put it this way, I'd get the front page of the V5C, same as this :
Problem is I wouldn't have the signature from the current owner (right at the bottom)
In an ideal world obviously this wouldn't happen, but this is the only one I've found which I'm only interested in haha
Seen a car I'm after but seems there is a V5C issue.
Chap selling hasn't got it in his name as he got it from a mate in the trade and apparently he never got the section 10 green slip - he just got given the main V5C (the bit the seller should send off) without the section 9&10.
He rang DVLA...
