Ultimate answer? Dont rely on either of em. Approach corners anticipating all outcomes. I learnt the hard way on a left hander with black ice. Put a 9month old car into a ditch. Outcome was a full write off.

I dont think Reno are doing free insurance at the moment. Also the free insurance is normally only on "special edition" cars, used to help shift a large number in a small time. Cars that sell well, dont need the help of free insurance to sell them.

Also, if you can afford a 1.6 meg, doesnt that put the 182 into your price range? But like they said, it depends if you need space or other factors.

Second hand values, you can ignore the paint. Yes someone might wait til they find a Petrol blue one, but would a second hand buyer buy it if it was £1000 above other 2nd hand 182s? I think not. Same with most other options I guess, yes they make it a more desirable 2nd hand car, but not...

yeah and the honda also lacks options that teh 182 has as standard, ie aircon half leather etc. So the CTR is a more expensive car to start with, and then you pay even more for the options. Also, what youre comparing is the CTR to the 182, when the same class of cars is CTR v Meg225 v...

The other option is to meet up with a local 172/182 owner and let them show you the car. Instead of the dealer, youll get a much more honest view of the car. So, where are you based?

Youd get an import easily, and you "should" be able to get a UK car for that with some searching.
