Do the basics. Spark Fuel Compression You've done the spark bit, so check the injector. If that's ok, then compression.

There were some frightening things I found on it. The way the fan had been wired in was a fire waiting to happen. Cam timing was miles out too.

I think it's more wiring related, as the pedal has been changed already, so it suggests it has had a fault before :)
