Although if you pair it up with a K-Tec DeCat or SportsCat then gains should be as high as any other exhaust system. Just need K-Tec to comment now.

Insurance will be higher than a straight 172/182 coz its a transplant. I think it will be harder coz the 172/182 is a squeeze even for renault to do.

The burns are classic airbag after effects. Its how the police can see if someone was driving etc, ie if the passengers pretend they were driving. Someone holding the wheel will have airbag burns on the insides of the wrists becuase of the airbag going off etc.

Youll notice that a lot of the people that bought vipers are actualy saying theyre not worth 250 for the gain etc

Wot is the model number of the standard headunit in the mk2 172s? Is it a VDO or a Philips? Is it one of these:- Philips RC594/DC459/DC461 VDO 22DC279/22DC259 Any ideas? I did try and search, but didnt come across anything.

People have mentioned removing the air feed pipe from the standard air box have leaving a 1" gap between the pipe and the airbox. Apparently this improves air intake and makes a nice noise. Anyone done this? I tried pulling the pipe, but it seems to be attached somehow.

My Disc changer in my 172 plays CDRs fine, havent tried the head unit to be honest. Ill try it out tomorrow if no one else replies.

hmm that sounds like an option. Is there any way to use the existing 6cd changer with the alpines? or do I loose the use of that?
