The jerkiness is something these cars are renowned for, a remap certainly helps them.
Low rev limit is usually down to a faulty thermostat/temp sensor. Changing both, will cost less than £50.
The oil is incorrect. It is supposed to be 5-40.
I wouldn't say it's a weak part, it's often an over looked part. The aux kit should be replaced if the alternator was done.
Aux kit is due at 36k or 3 years, which ever is sooner.

I had an aux tensioner fail a few weeks back which Renault didn't even question and paid out. I'd sooner loose a bit of profit like!
Ah sorry I was thinking you meant the mark on the flywheel. There is a little inspection hole on the gearbox with a few marks on it and a 0 and an 8. You want the mark on the flywheel level with the 0.
It shouldn't be between the 2 marks. It should be on the mark with 0. You've got it in the balance hole.
However this still wouldn't be enough to lock it up. The cams cut out for the tool is offset, and should be on the lower half of the camshaft. It does sound like you've got a cam 180...
