    In my experience it's a thing with having solid mounts. You can't expect to have race style mounts and solid mounted items without trade off's.

    Depends if your block is worn. I'd recommend it as just throwing a set of forged pistons in a worn bore won't last very long.

    I'd just get the pipe rewelded if it's leaking. Yes engine out, I'd advise a rebore too. I supply oversized pistons at no extra cost. Belts shouldn't be reused. Megane gasket will be 8.5:1 clio gasket will make it 9:1.

    More than likely play in the top mount then.

    Means the sidewalls will be pulled in slightly, and therefore not quite perfect for optimum tyre performance.

    Both of the alternators have only 2 holes. Just the position of them is different.

    172 clio will crank but not fire

    Crank sensors rarely show a fault. Have a look and see if the crank sensor is blue or black. Renault revised the design and changed it to blue due to this issue.
