Fitted new rears to mine last week and its quite depressing watching the rust get worse around the edges after each wash and drive in the rain lol.
Give it another week an itl look like theyve been on 2 years lol
I went for ramair as the neck was the correct diameter with no reducer needed and it was also offset which was perfect as my battery it a bit too big so having it offset moves the filter away from the battery a little
If you used the new ball joint then you will have had to remove the 2 large bolts holding it to the wishbone, if these didn't go back on in exactly the same position as the old one then the allignment is likely to change.
Been covered loads in the thread are few lines below this one below called Renault vs Bosch abs sensor.
Basically, no the ecp one won't fit , you need to order a triscan one from Germany, cost around £50.
Also, it seems that all phase 2 1*2s with abs use the same rear sensors weather they are...
Charging voltage should be 14 - 14.4v
When my alternator packed up it would charge at 13v unless I revved the engine. At which point it would go to the correct voltage.
2 days after noticing this I got home one day and the alternator was smoking
Can confirm the triscan part fits perfect.
No idea what all this talk of cup packed sensor is.
My god it was a pain to shift. Stub axle off and had to smash the living shite out of the sensor as the screw was rounded.
Read mine and steves last few posts on the Renault vs Bosch thread.
Triscan is the one and as far as I'm aware can only be got from Germany. Mine took a week to come and was about 38 plus 8 delivery
There is loads of websites selling the triscan but they are all the same company called auto...
Well, I plugged in the sensor and the abs light went off so at least I know Id diagnosed the right sensor and also the German special seems to work.
Hopefully itl fit into the hub with no problems but that's a job for the weekend.
But fingers crossed it looks like triscan sensors are the...
I'd 100% not recommend polybushing the wishbones, buy genuine with ball joint and bushings.
I've got powerflexes in my wishbones and they are creaky as hell and the car feels the same as it did before but with added creaks, does my head in
Although a different name that's identical to the site I ordered from which is actually a German company with German stock.
They shipped it today with DPD so fingers crossed it might be here at the weekend.
My local Renault dealer is also the dacia dealer so assume as the part number is the...
Cheers Steve.
I took a punt and ordered a triscon from a random German site called auto doc, but it also had about 3 other identical sites with different names.
No idea if they are legit but will see if it turn up as I couldn't find anywhere else.
My 03 172 has got an rs inlet and judging by how standard the car was when I got it i have no reason to believe somebody would have put an rs lower inlet on it and not even added an aftermarket exhaust or springs etc
