Fair enough lol.
Anyway, Euros calipers fit fine, whoo.
Although it does look slightly different to my left side rear caliper, the arm where the cable goes is a slightly different design.
Fits fine though.
I read that the only reason it shorts is because on the wheel it earths when you press the button for cars which only have a live going to the horn plug.
As the clio as a live and and earth on the plug, you can cut away the earth tracks from the Bush button horn.
That's my understanding...
Just realised my rear right caliper is seized so been to euros to pick up a new one.
On removing the pads I noticed on the back of the pads there is a notch sticking out.
Is this notch correct to be sat inside the cut outs in the piston?
Only reason I thought not is that as the piston...
Not really.
Rs2 was the manifold but didn't last long in production. There's a cheap Turkish version but results don't seem brilliant.
Other than that, the usual, turbo, cams, itb.
Group N timing seems quite popular now to squeeze a bit more power out of the standard cams.
I went through this a couple of weeks ago.
Tried both parts numbers, 172 and 182 ones, neither fit. Too short by about an inch.
Ended up with genuine 182 cables which fit a 172 ph2 non cup fine.
I wouldn't bother changing the speakers in the front unless you are prepared to run them from a decent amplifier and plan to sound deaden the entire front doors inner and outer skin and mount on a solid baffle.
Just changing the speakers is not going to improve anything, if anything it will be...
Fair enough.
I don't think it holds a true renault Sport badge because that would make it 2.0.
Sorry can't help much with your question, I think most popular exhausts will be made for the rs 197 and 200.
Take a look on ktec racing, they may cater for the 1.6
No probz.
Maybe time to get some decent lowering springs in their as Renault ones will cost you the same price for 2 as a set of 4 lowering springs from a decent company like eibatch would cost you
It will be the sensor for climate control in the housing where the interior light it.
Mine does it, new sensor is about 30 quid I think but I've got used to it now.
Download vmware player, download a copy of windows xp, install xp on the virtual machine and install clip onto that.
I've got diagnostics for quite a few brands and never got one to work on anything but 32bit windows xp.
Hmm we'll see how long it takes to bubble through again, I just keep an eye on it.
I've been wondering, would fibreglass and resin be a good solution to thickening the panel back up?
Mine must have lost more than half it's thickness to the rust and thought about using resin and fibreglass to...
Lol, I stripped the primer back from the first pics and had the drill and wire brush attachment on it for about half an hour but it was going nowhere so re treated it and primed again.
It turned quite black and solid so hopefully converted alot of it.
Cherry bombs were pretty popular back in my teens.
I wouldn't bother mate, itl sound like crap and just be embarasing when your flooring it making a racket and barely moving.
When i had a 1.2 back in the day I wanted a bit of extra noise so I stuck an open cone induction kit on it. Sounded...
Cheers dude
Have a go mate, even if the final coat looks a bit naff at least it should give a few more years out of it before it falls off lol. It's behind the flap anyway so youl only see it when filling up lol
No probz, I'll give it a more thorough rubbing down next weekend.
It's been a bit if a rush job after work as I'm away at the weekend so I just wanted to get some primer on it to give it some protection.
I might have a practise run at getting a decent finish with the blue paint tonight and...
Well, this is as far as I am up to now.
I could find anything local other than kurust so after sanding down I put some of that on and allowed to dry before priming.
Metal is mega thin at the flap side but hopefully I got it just in time.
Hard bit tomorow, getting the colour on and hoping the...
Get it while you can mate, I have been putting it off for 2 years and now the metal is wafer thin where the flap bolts on
The metal on the left is still solid so it shows how much has rusted away
Cheers lads. I think we might have a rivet gun at work.
What sort of primer will I need to go on top of the rust inhibitor? Etch? Epoxy? Normal grey stuff?
Sorry I'm not too clued up on the painting business lol
Hey guys.
Finally got around to starting the fix on my filler flap rust.
So i started by drilling the 3 rivets off to get rid of the plastic cover.
Drilled the bottom bolt of the flap out and half of the top bolt so I can leave the flap on for now as it's going dark so I'll continue tomorow...
That's fair enough.
Yeh, paperwork we got says cambelt, service, mot, door dent.
Worries me about the cambelt though, i never trust dealerships who say they will put a belt on, makes you wonder if it's actually really getting done or not.
Oops, Duke lol, my bad.
