What head gasket are you running?
I'm on the megane one and seeing 9-10psi on the limiter, but I've got a restriction somewhere as I've opened out the restrictor 2mm since and got no more boost.
50 will be fine as long as you don't do too many miles like it as it'll eat the tyres centre. Nah not talking from experience. Just don't know your driving ability ;)
Go and find an industrial estate in the wet. Lots of hgv's usually equals a fair bit of grease/diesel down which makes for easy sliding. 50psi in the rears and go and have fun.
Disclaimer: if you put it backwards through someone's warehouse door I am in no way to blame.
Even if the timing is out, it's still not a home fix.
If you feel the flywheel is chipped, buy another flywheel and fit it at home? By the time you've spent the money on the clutch/flywheel/bolts it would probably have worked out cheaper to take it to Mick, Fred or myself.
I believe from speaking to avanti a few years ago, that the crown wheel is 'sweat' fitted, so I guess that's what they mean by it's not needing machining, just a lot of heat lol.
