Anyone going to order one?
Looks like a beast of a machine - http://m.engadget.com/default/article.do?artUrl=http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/06/nikon-d4-hands-on-and-sample-images-video/&category=classic&postPage=1
Funny thing is Andy, I am now a full time Chauffeur lol.
I haven't picked up a camera since March, its a hard thing to explain- but the ghosts of Afghan came back a few times- and I kind of blamed things on my photography - its a long story.
However I have picked myself back up, and have a...
A good exercise I would do often was- pick one object, one prime lens and photograph it 10 different ways.
Think composition, perspective, DoF,exposure (silhouette),contrast, negative space, High Angle,Low Angle,Straight on and so on - only then can you say you have exhausted ALL possibilities...
Spare a thought for the Pro's trying to make a living.
I found myself stuck in this position so often, but yet was trumped by the fact my images HAD to go out FREE due to Crown Coyright issues.
Interesting rant though, and one a Pr Snapper faces daily.
Dan-take note, because your work is...
I have never understood "walkabout" lens?!
Does it help you walk?
Ever lens has its place, me personally I like primes- I like the way they make your mind think.
If I had a 24mm fixed- I would see the world in that way, before even lifting the camera to my eye- same as for an 85mm.
You learn...
I use my phone now, it's far too easy to get wrapped in what kit does what, what lense do I need, what's the best camera and so on..........
Just be there is my only advice.
I am kind of in the same boat as you, and that I like "waxing my b**ch" every couple of weeks.
I couldn't just wash a car, dry it down and leave it- it would feel incomplete.
For my quick no fuss top ups I use R222, it's so easy to apply and can afford stupid mistakes like over rub onto the...
Not played with any sealants yet (paintwork wise)- how fussy are they to apply?
Plan to correct this current car in the spring - perhaps I should go down the sealant route.
Tried wolfs on my wheels a while back- didn't rate it one single bit- still have to scrub the brake dust off as before.
All Colly waxes are good and have their place when it comes to durability.
But it the looks department they don't cut it with the likes of Zymol, Celeste, SV, AG HD.
£ for llb I personally think the best wax out there is Glasur, with AG HD a cheaper option.
I have R222 + R222 100% Carnauba...
Just been reading a few threads on B22' you are right it does get some mega reviews, and won't break the bank to try it out.
If you do get some, would you be so kind to write up a detailed review for us here on CS?
Can I just throw in the mix - AutoSmarts own WAX
You should be able to grab a pot FOR £25 from your local rep.
However I know nothing of Dodo Bouncer 22, not really a big fan of Dodo waxes.
Only had once experience with Karcher.....it lasted a month, before it started leaking everywhere - the pumps are plastic and the thing gave up the ghost on me.
I had it gas on me on a BMW, Lotus Carlton and another darker car- hence I fell out of love with it, but have only owned this LY 182 for a month and decided to retry it and it's been spot on.
Maybe the fact the car is lighter in colour and I can't spot it so easily.
I gave it a good going over...
Just adding to that- I am loving Glasur again, went off it for a while - a joy to work with, very durable and can be topped with Acrylic Jet or Field Glaze.
These were taken yesterday (before the rain) and today after a good down pour.
IMHO nothing beads as good as Glasur.
Agreed^^^ Clio clear coat can be a b**ch to correct due to its hardness.
I have been using Britemax Black Max, a glaze very similar to Black Hole - nice product to use by hand, and comes in fairly well priced.
Should of, but I bought the fronts years ago- and was given the centre as a freebie replacement.
If the right centre is still available then I should buy one.
Just bought a brand new
Pioneer VSX 2021
Pioneer BDP 440 ( both controlled via AirPlay iPad)
B&W 603 S3 - Fronts
B&W 600 S3 - Rears
MS centre speaker
KEF Sub
Cambridge Audio ID100 ( unused and for sale if anyone is interested)
All a bit mis matched, but it will do me for now.
Best bit for...
Also just bought the new enduro foam from AS, expensive but clings for 30 mins.
Used and rinsed, was still on the driveway 48 hours after - seriously thick.
